That’s easier said than done living outside the US and Canada when it comes to buying Criterions. Thanks for the help though. Much appreciated

From Janus' twitter this evening. I'm not surprised if this is a confirmation, I called it awhile back since Criterion seems to be Lynch's home video partner. They'll definitely be releasing his new Netflix series too. It all lines up.

The current $19.99 Amazon prices are a result of price matching Walmart .

Anyone know who the best person at Criterion is to contact about titles and acquisitions? I'm not talking about Jon Mulvaney or the random e-mails on their site, but an actual person. Not asking for an e-mail, just who would be someone to reach out to.

Bout time haha.
Can't wait for it.

I love how Janus spoils future Criterion releases. This and The Mirror got outed.

In the ultimate ironic twist, Criterion will release the blocky 480p video of Inland Empire as their first 4K disc.

Maybe they could collect all the shorts and other odds and ends that he’s made over the last twenty years for his old website, youtube, etc. and include them as extras.

I saw this in a theater. That was an experience. Saw it with my son. He'd only ever seen "The Elephant Man", and he was gaga for Lynch after that.

I love it but it’s not the best midnight movie, too long at three hours. People started getting squirmy and walked out early at a midnight showing in NYC. Luckily it was my second viewing there or I would’ve been annoyed at all the commotion.

I’m sure it’s coming at some point, but they tweet images from films they don’t have anything to do with all of the time. It was probably only because of Lynch’s birthday.

Would love a release, though. The Hong Kong blu I have has 2.0 Dolby Digital audio and the subtitles are occasionally wonky. Also, there’s a lot of potential when it comes to extras.

I don't mind being the sole person here who thinks this and I'm not debating anyone who feels differently, I'm just saying that there is at least one person on this board who doesn't need BRINGING UP BABY on Criterion.
I have to agree, though for me I've never made it much beyond the first half hour or so (?) of BABY (somewhere around maybe 10 or 15 minutes after they leave the city is about as far as I got each time and after that just totally lost interest), and I've tried a few times, but that's around where I gave up on it each time. Just doesn't work for me, the humor is way too forced, and really not all that funny. Maybe next time, if there is one... though that last 20-25 minutes warning you gave above doesn't make it sound like it gets any better.

HATARI was certainly odd as well though I did make it through that one the very first (and last!) time. Not a great film by any measure, one of those so why am I watching this? films, but more watchable than BABY at least.

To compound the heresy, despite a good cast I also think his version of The Front Page is the weakest and only picked up the Criterion for alternate cut of the Milestone version.
I see I'm not the only one. Great minds and all that.

Well yea I kno they post stuff all the time they don't put out. Despite being Lynch's birthday it's a good tease because he owns it himself and hasn't been available for years. If it's coming from anyone it's Criterion. Yesterday was the perfect day to drop a hint...or not! lmao

Criterion has an out of print DVD of The Bank Dick, I think it's time for a blu-ray upgrade.
