maybe catch persona or the seventh seal, arguably his most famous works, and see if you like them first before grabbing the whole set.

I had to place my order via mobile during my lunch break at work since I saw so many titles going out of stock. Luckily I was able to get 2 of the 3 that I was planning on, I missed out on The Thin Red Line. Seeing a ton of great choices and some crazy hauls, makes me want to go back for more.

I've seen 4 of the films from the boxset but looking forward to revisiting them and checking out the others.
After watching the Australian bundle on the Criterion Channel, Walkabout still remains my favorite film from the group. Considered getting Picnic at Hanging Rock but it was also out of stock.
I've been wanting Mildred Pierce for quite awhile now so what better time to pull the trigger since my other choice wasn't available and this stood out on my wish list.

Went back for seconds. I know I should have just ordered all at once but I was undecided earlier, I’ll just take the hit on the second reshipper fee for the second order.

In total, I ordered;

Traffic
Inside Llewyn Davis
Scanners
Blue Velvet
The Last Days of Disco
Frances Ha
Wildlife
Short Cuts
Election
The Ice Storm
Cold War
Some Like It Hot
Hoop Dreams

Gathering up things for my order now. I need some advice on if one movie is worth it. I have the 2012 Moonrise Kingdom blu-ray. Now I like the movie, but I'm not sure if double dipping is totally worth it. Looking at comparisons of the two, the transfers look the same unless I'm missing something.

They're essentially the same. The Criterion has a lower bitrate. Unless you like special features or Criterion digipacks, you can avoid it.

There are several Criterion titles that are in stock at Unobstructed View that only have their usual 10% off. Pretty annoying.

Yeah, they said those are titles that are now on backorder and aren't eligible for the sale anymore. Not the clearest messaging.

Defending Your Life is not on sale. It's not even released yet. The official release date is March 30.

I was curious to see if I had missed any past gift certificates Criterion might have emailed me and after searching my inbox I found one from the fall. Sure enough, it still worked so I placed a second order. Lord help me lol. 15 titles between the two orders.

This time around I grabbed:

Destry Rides Again
Valley of the Dolls
Smooth Talk
Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion
Notorious
Sisters
Ride the Pink Horse

Honestly wish I'd hopped on this sooner like I planned to. I missed out on Silence of the Lambs, Blow Out, and Being John Malkovich. Oh well. Always next time.

I didn’t get no Zatoichi...out of stock.

I didn’t get no Janus films long sleeve t-shirt..out of stock.

I didn’t get nothin.

My life is empty and meaningless.

I drift alone in the darkness of uncertainty.

I shower in the tears of dead unicorns.

...I am Bill Murray.

Think we'll see a restock of the Zatoichi collection? I saw mention of updated restocks throughout the hours but fear the collectors editions are most limited.

My video store is down to about 30 of the ~1050 Criterion spines needed.

We're gonna knock off a couple needs based on pledged donations today -- Babette's Feast on DVD and Sullivan's Travels on BLU. Plus, one of the two remaining Eclipse sets we need (Eclipse 45 - Claude Autant-Lara : Four Romantic Escapes from Occupied France)
