Now that I read the UPS tracking info..."Scheduled Delivery Date: 11/29/2010"...Hey...that's more than 3 days! I just hope that it's a padded estimate.

If it doesn't get to you by Wednesday, the 29 estimate sounds about right because according to their holiday schedule, they also don't do shipments on Friday after Thanksgiving.

I don't remember the last time I received a UPS package on any other day other than the one originally estimated by them.

I'm getting ready to send B&N a very angry email for not shipping my BBS set! Not fair everyone elses sets shipped. I can't fathom what will happen to a package sitting outside for over a week, disaster! Of course they wont let me change the address to where I'll be staying at, GRRRR!

They aren't even supposed to ship them until tomorrow..... sending an email, let-alone an angry one.... is a pretty big over-reaction.

You do realize this isn't supposed to be out until tomorrow, right?
CG ordered films that haven't shipped over a week after it's release date.
I'd say calm down. It's a set of movies, not your first born child.

Yeah and it was going to take 30 more days for my shipment (I switched to Borders thanks to the helpful poster back a couple of pages). No wonder they don't respond fast to e-mails. Alot of people e-mals about lost items or delays and others e-mail why they haven't shipped movies not out yet.


To help anyone out, I got my BBS set last Friday. Order from Criterion.com if you want it as fast as you can. Other than that, just wait.

Nope, I just sent one stating my situation being very polite, told them to send it to my uncle's addy if possible. ( i was not able to make an address revision online) This trip my family is taking was a "spur of the moment" thing, but I do get a week at Myrtle Beach and a paid vacation from my job...

This may have been posted and I missed it, but another Amazon title is Complete Monterey Pop for 38.99. I've never seen you guys talking about it, so you may not care, but thought someone might be interested.

Speaking of e-mails,

I finally e-mailed John Mulvaney today requesting/asking if they have/had any interest in getting rights to release Hopper's Last Movie on dvd/blu-ray. Thought now is as good as anytime, since the New Hollywood set is being released tomorrow. Hope to hear good news from him. Prob the best thing they can release IMO.

Thats a great price for a great Criterion box set of classic rock festival! Heck I have this on Sony VHS gathering dust somewhere...

How about Hopper's dir cuts of Colors and Backtrack, those would be great as well. I got the non-anamorphic Anchor Bay "Out of The Blue" with a great commentary by the late Hopper, it even came in a "blue" case! Linda Manz put in a great perfoemance in that film, the only other film she did I beleive was Malick's "Days of Heaven".

They would be great, but The Last Movie and The American Dreamer (a doc of Dennis Hopper making The Last Movie) are just hours of Hopper and only Hopper in his wild drug days (The American Dreamer that is.). Unlike anything you have ever seen before, unless you seen it.
