I hate that I'm this interested. I remember the days when I'd find out announcements had happened at some point in the last week and that was good enough. |

Deep Cover: for those of you wondering, this movie is even less relevant than Armageddon and The Rock. It’s a very mediocre crime film that doesn’t really have any substance. It’s less than King of New York, Leon the Professional, Red Rock West, The Last Seduction, One False Move, and Romeo Is Bleeding. You can skip it.
As for the “woke/PC/SJW” talk, there was a great American named John Brown the abolitionist (whom Tarantino worships) who would be called all those names in the 19th century, so they’re meaningless buzzwords. I think people are just scared that in about 20 years, everybody in gonna look like Steph Curry and Denise Huxtable lol. |

RE: Out of print titles (BD)
Am I missing any from this list? Le Cercle Rouge (rumored to be returning) The Confession Days of Heaven La Dolce Vita (still available via Essential Fellini) Don't Look Now Harold and Maude Howards End The Last Metro Last Year at Marienbad The Man Who Fell to Earth Nashville Rosemary's Baby The Third Man Would you even consider LDV to be OOP given its availability? Same with Chungking Express, as it's listed on Criterion's site as being OOP. |

Chungking is an odd case because the transfer on the OOP disc is different (and there are some differences in the audio and credits) with some people preferring the old disc as it's more in line with how they remember the movie. I don't think there are differences with LDV in the Fellini set so that's less of an issue. You can filter the collection on the criterion site by OOP status if you ever need to check what's currently OOP, and you can filter it down to just BD releases. |

Bummer month for me (only four titles and no upgrades) but at least that showtune documentary is out of the way.

I’m really happy about Beasts of No Nation, Original Cast Album: “Company”, & and might buy a second copy of After Life!
Surprised Ashes & Diamonds is a solo upgrade and not part of Wajda’s War Trilogy set. |
