So, something very strange is happening when I try and look for Criterion movies in the search bar...they just won't show up! I can search for other blu-rays, but nothing Criterion related. To make it more confusing, this seems to only be an issue on Chrome, but not Safari. Any ideas on how to fix?

Got a perfect set with in store pickup b with no scratched discs as well
Also had no problems playing the 1st two discs in a ps5. I am also keeping them in original case like I do with all my movies

Have any of you similarly ordered the set from Barnes & Noble, and gotten it in the same condition? I’d planned on getting this during the Flash Sale in October, but I might just jump on it now if I can be relatively certain of receiving it sans damage.

Are you all leaving the discs in the packaging, or housing them in a 7 or 8 disc Elite case (whatever is the closest, size appropriate case).

I’ve read more than my fair share of horror stories when ordering condition sensitive sets from B&N. Have they gotten better?

Thanks in advance. This will help me formulate a plan.

The search bar on Blu-ray.com or BN or Amazon?

Blu-ray I have no problem with -- type Criterion and 20 show up (if I set the US flag), if I leave it All Countries then the Canadian discs show up.

No problem at BN.com either.

Sounds like it may be a cache/cookie issue if it's only affecting Chrome

Well this kind of sucks, Barnes and Noble was able to replace my damaged copy of the Bruce Lee set since I ordered it for shipping, but the damaged copy of Memories of Murder I picked up at the store can't be replaced at all since the store doesn't have any more copies and probably won't get any more. Barnes and Noble doesn't do online replacements for online store pickups, so I'm stuck with a damaged copy. It's also out of stock right now too. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement copy? I sent Criterion an email about it being damaged too to see if they could do something about it, but I'm not sure if they could replace it.

Yes, the search bar on blu-ray.com. I cleared my cache/cookie history, and I switched between world and USA in the search, but nada. So bizarre!

My copy came 1 day after I ordered it in pristine condition. The item was really well protected, it was shipped in a box within a box. I don't see any dents or creases from the outside. I haven't opened it to check if the contents inside are okay yet, but from what I can tell. There's no way it was damaged during transit. The same thing happened with the Fellini set too except it was in much bigger boxes. I also did not expect the Fellini set to be so huge, I'm not even sure where to put it. There's no way this thing fits on my shelf.

Lightbulb Barnes & Noble Annual 50% Off Criterion Sale (Begins 7/2/2021)

I’ve added Blow Out to my cart today...

Can anyone recommend another good Title like this one to get me to that free shipping threshold please?

BTW I do own quite a few Criterions!

You picked it up in the store? Just ask customer service at your local Barnes and Noble to order you another copy. It should come in before the sale ends, (takes about 5-7 days at mine) but even if it doesn't, they'll honor that it's a replacement for your damaged copy. I have done this a few times without issue. They're always very helpful and nice about it.

Blow Up or Klute, but I see you already have the latter, so it's Blow Up. It's obvious that De Palma was inspired by (or "ripping off," as he usually does with Hitchcock movies) the Antonioni movie and Coppola's The Conversation when he made Blow Out.

Alright thanks, I might just do that if it goes back in stock.

Thanks latehong for the recommendation, however I looked at the trailer & IDK if it’s my ‘cup of tea’ though

The obvious one would be Dressed to Kill, if you don’t already have it (I didn’t see it under the D-Criterions list on your collection).

Edit: I see you have it under “ordered”. In which case I’d suggest the Parallax View.

From memory, they don't match across the board.

Do they revert to the higher price so long as the films are in stock, though? Might be worth waiting for a little while, otherwise I'd have to pay for shipping again.

Sorry, I'm not sure. I've only ever bought a handful of Criterion from Amazon.
