Do you think they'd consider giving UHDs their own spine numbers starting at 1?

I don't know if that'd go over well with fans.

Am I alone in being just fine waiting until something is actually announced or available rather than making wishlists and speculating, especially based on a rumor? I spend enough time researching old to new releases that are new to me that I just don't see giving this more time and energy.

Going to predict that along with Citizen Kane, we're also getting the original King Kong because it's currently out of print in the US, the '76 remake just got a special edition from Shout, the Peter Jackson remake got a UHD, and there's also Godzilla vs. Kong. Doubt it would be on UHD, though.

My predictions are that the first UHDs will be Kane, plus either Mulholland Drive or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

They didn’t do that with Blu-Ray. Why would they do it for 4K?

And now claims WB told him to take down the Citizen Kane post 😆

Oh man the thought of Floating Weeds in 4K. If they've just been waiting till they got the UHD ball rolling before releasing it, then I'll forgive them, because it's long overdue now.

Sorry, I know this has nott to do with Citizen Kane, getting ahead of myself.

If Citizen Kane and King Kong are released in 4k I wonder how they'll look since both original negative are destroyed.

Have you seen the BD for Citizen Kane? It's sourced from a 4K restoration, and looks really good.

With UHD they'd have 3 different SKUs. It might be easier to distinguish between DVD, Blu, and UHD. When the sticker is missing from the packaging it's easy to mistake a DVD for Blu.

I went back for Deep Cover which I reserved and grabbed Woman in the Dunes (one I've been meaning to see for a while) & Defending Your Life caught my eye so I picked that up also. Really glad I did, just finished watching it. It's not exactly the type of movie I'd normally like but something about it just really worked for me. Albert Brooks has some pretty unique humor.

If Warner Bros. has a problem with the leak, there's a good chance it's real

Nobody knows. Likely because he didn’t actually post anything and invented the entire story.

This is why I stay out of the Kino thread most of the time...

Probably saw that Scream had DOTDs post removed for Halloween 4k and is trying to make up his own controversy since he’s a complete fraud.
