For someone who’s never seen a Rossellini film, would you recommend the War Trilogy or Three films with Ingrid Bergman?

Yeah. Pretty much the beginning of post-war Italian cinema that eventually birthed Fellini (who cowrote Rome Open City).

The Bergman movies are really good, too, but not really as important unless you prioritize movie star relationships to the history of a country's cinema.

Oh, the irony.
For me I hope it's this:

I'm a little confused at Barnes and Noble's shipping. I ordered 9 movies with free shipping. 7 of them are coming through USPS but haven't actually gotten to the post office or something. The other 2 are apparently through UPS Ground and are coming today. This makes no sense.

War Trilogy more accessible and best place to start with Rossellini but IMHO the Bergman collaborations are the superior films.

Yowza! That’s inaccurate to say the least. Those films made quite an impression on both Italian filmmaking and on that particular group of rag scribblers in Paris in the 50s.

Going against the grain here, but I would start with the Bergman films first and then do the War Trilogy. Not chronological, but I feel it works better.

Great news on Mr. Klein. I literally was asking about this a few days ago. Day 1 purchase for me.

Great news. By then it'll be over two years since the restoration played at the Film Forum here in New York. It was held over for months due to "unprecedented demand" - their words.

Items are distributed and shipped from various locations. What is your question?

Criterion almost certainly has The Servant as well. Kino stated they wanted it, but it was promised to another label, same deal with Mr Klein and many other Studiocanal titles. It's possible we could see both Losey titles released together in December even. I could also see The Go-Between being added in there too.

Criterion has it, but will it be a 4K UHD like the UK disc? If not, then it's another Elephant Man situation where the import is best.

Sometimes they are, sometimes not. Even when some of mine have originated from the same KY warehouse, I've had split shipment sent basically at the same time and sometimes different carriers. Can't explain why, but ALLIANCE seems to have some reasoning for it. I gave up trying to outguess them a long time ago. They aren't nearly as bad as Ingram Shipping from Target, but it can be a bit odd since it seems like different parts of the warehouse keep different stock for their contracted companies with only some being shared among the group. I swear it seems like it functions as multiple different warehouses with separate shipping depts under the same HUGE roof.

As far as teh update of the USPS tracking number being incomplete, that seems to be an ongoing issue with USPS over the last year or more.
Of course the first easiest thing to check in the origination of all the packages and see if they are in the same general destination -- unfortunately they often only list the originating shipment scan and not always the pickup scan. The Shepherdsville warehouse often appears to have origination from 3-4 different zip code near Louisville. OTOH, if 1 package in from NJ, 1 from KY and one from NV that's an easy explanation

Not really a question. I just found it weird that they used two different services, USPS and UPS despite the fact that I used free shipping and I assumed it would just be USPS for both.
