Just saw a scene from The Thin Red Line.

Without overestimation one of my top 3 demo material (#1 for live action, non-CGI) from now on along Avatar and Pixar.
Movie looked promising too, excellent scenery.
Cant wait till I see it from begining to end tomorow. I am already sure that this will be one of my best blind buys ever.

P.S. Never experienced playback issues.

Thanks.
I had a problem with Seventh Seal late in the movie. I might watch Yojimbo tonight, and if I do I will let you know. I have a feeling it is my player though. I might be jumping on this Disney combo pack deal to have a 2nd player to test with.

Good to know about Seventh Seal. I think it migh be his player too. I tried listening to the player and it was making strange noises; as if it was trying to play, but it wasn't tracking properly.

Bummer. I'll continue Yojimbo at home on Sunday.

Hey guys, Just got a quick question about this double pack regarding the audio.

Blu-ray.com says it's dolby digital 3.0 while amazon says DTS HD MA 3.0 but nothing about the PCM mono track? I'm pretty sure this set has both DTS HD MA 3.0 and PCM Mono but just wanted to confirm!

Thanks.

Is 25 young or am I now an old man? Even when I was a lot younger I always liked old TV shows and movies though. Hell when I was in grade six I used to rush home after school to watch Three's Company and I Love Lucy re-runs since they would air back to back and TC would start 30 minutes after we got out.

The Secret of The Grain arrived in the mail today so finally caught back up on the Criterion releases and have all the Blu-Rays again Rest of the year should be easy sailing with only two in December and will probably end up getting those for Christmas so won't have to buy them myself

I think 25 is still young. Oh, and you need Yojimbo and Sanjuro separately if you truly wanna have a complete Criterion collection on Blu, technically.

Well you could say that about Montery Pop too but to me that would just mean pointless duplicates and there is nothing more complete about that IMO. Anybody that would buy the exact same thing twice is just an obsessive crazy person Plus anybody could fake that claim anyway since you get the same cases in the box and could just put them besdie the box without anybody being able to see they are not in it

Yeah I wish I could get more but being a college student can only afford the lower priced blu-rays most of the time

I'm a college student, too, so I make sure I only purchase what I really want, and not something that I sorta want.

Yeah I can't remember my first either. For some reason I am thinking Sword of Doom. Don't have a ton of them on DVD since by the time I had heard of Criterion trying to go for the complete collection was a lost cause and in Canada they also had high prices plus nobody here ever seemed to have anything and back then I was more limited with online ordering. That is why I am trying to keep up with them on Blu-Ray this time around since I knew about them from the start. Which is why taking this long to finally get Secrets of The Grain was making me go crazy which is why I am so happy to be caught up again

Yeah they all in order of spine number. I don't have proper storage for my collection so all my other movies are a spread out unorganized mess but the Criterion are the one thing I keep organized since if there is one thing to organize what else would be better? Think the StudioCanal ones might end up in the unorganized mess soon if they don't start releasing more of them here

You should get some more animations (pixar ad dreamworks) for sure.
Otherwise great collection.
It just feels incomplete with just 2 pixar flicks.
