Right after I get my package of my second order (all in perfect condition, by the way), Criterion sends me the shipping notification for my first order.

Their sending my first order just further proves my conspiracy theory that Criterion hates me and stole my money. Nothing can disprove my conspiracy theory. That's how it's so conspiratorial.

I don't think there's anyone here who is questioning your reasoning. We believe you. They hate you. Criterion hates you. With a passion. I wouldn't be surprised if they released a 4K disc demonstrating the depths of their hatred towards you.

One of my titles arrived today badly damaged. It's weird because no other item in the order (four Blu-rays total) were damaged in the same way. My poor Ballad of Gregorio Cortez case is all jacked up; disc dislodged, bits of plastic floating around in the shrink-wrap. I emailed Criterion to get a replacement. Should I keep it all sealed up, in case I need to send it back, or will they just send me a new case, and I should investigate if the disc is playable?

These films, both early in each director’s career, are rooted by neorealist elements while still containing glimmers and hints of styles, themes, and explorations to come for each filmmaker. Both movies are linked thematically as well as narratively, with different tales on agency, drive, and potential.

Has anyone else's orders not shipped still? Mine's been "Being Packed for Shipment" for like 3 days now

Should I buy the Criterion blu-ray of De Palma's Blow Out? It doesn't have an extant 4K master to the best of my knowledge, but it seems like a marketable enough title (Brian De Palma film in the TSPDT Top 1000 starring John Travolta) that a UHD release would be forthcoming were a 4K scan to exist. A side of me feels the 20-odd bucks could be better spent picking up one of the UHDs I've been eyeballing, but I'm not sure.

I told myself when buying a UHD player I'd reserve blu-ray purchases for films that have next to no chance of getting a UHD release, such as Chantal Akerman's Les rendez-vous d'Anna, which seems to have a good chance of joining Criterion's mainline.

It possibly could, but since there's no specific word as yet there's also no telling when that might be. If you get the blu-ray you could enjoy an excellent presentation of the film now with good extras, and sell/gift it later when the UHD comes out.

Frist order shipped Wed and Delivered Friday.
2nd order shipped last night -- 3 items I thought would ship 1st

But several others I read got dispatch on Friday and a few still waiting. It's always seemed to be what you ordered more than how many or at what time.
I remember last sale or the early 2020 sale having a package take 2 weeks to ship -- turned out an item ran out of stock and several folks with the same item had to wait (better than just cancelling it).
