Enough of DBH trying to tell us where we are on the ladder of Criterion supporters…..

Where is the Dazed and Confused 4K?

He probably takes up a huge amount of real estate in DaBargainHunta's head. He's already mentioned him twice, but he really doesn't think about that guy.....

I really do love this place.

It is a very interesting place for sure. Most people on here I reckon I could easily have a cold beer with and get along with just fine. But you get the odd one where it just doesn't happen. Got more respect for people that duke it out, try to make their point and resolve differences, instead of running away and trying to take digs behind a block button.....but that is society today unfortunately.

We all know DBH loves me as much as the Criterion streaming channel, so I will leave it there

Yeah, they had a world premiere of the 4K restoration at various Alamo Drafthouse theaters last Wednesday.

I'm about here on that ladder:

Watched Terry Gilliam's Jabberwocky for the first time in about 20 years and was wonderfully surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Not all of it works, the insane cult and "poop" jokes go a tad bit over the top, but I actually now enjoy all the castle scenes with King Bruno the Questionable and The Princess. Guess getting older gave me the patience to enjoy the lunacy of the performances, or just seeing a much better transfer helped a lot. The Joust tournament is still the best thing in the movie for me. And I think the Jabberwock looks great.

Criterion are out of their minds to use sleeve packaging on a 60 dollar premium product.

The ones for the Bergman and Fellini set also suck, as well as the WKW one. I'm not a fan of both of these kind of cases.

Yeah, I know. I have Fellini and Bergman's boxsets. But Criterion hasn't charged 60 dollars for a single movie since before Blu-ray, as far as I know. Even the price of that Godzilla collection can be divided by number of movies for much better value. For this kind of price, I expect safe packaging. 4K discs are also more sensitive.
