Tracking never, ever updated for me until it was marked Delivered. I was concerned too. Hopefully you’ll get it before the flash sale!

Blu-ray.com is listing Brian De Palma's Body Double (1984) as coming from Criterion!

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Body-...lu-ray/298420/

is this true or someones wishful thinking?

I think it was a strong rumor so I added a database entry.

Nothing confirmed. Honestly forgot it was rumored.

It was said on an article that Body Double that Criterion was but they said that it was going to be released on a "deluxe blu-ray" by the Criterion Channel. I emailed the author of the article and they said that they only said that because it was streaming on the Criterion Channel. So the chances of a Criterion are very low at this point.

Didn’t know you messaged the author of the article, but their response sounds about right. A lot of people think a movie streaming on the Channel means it will automatically get a release.

There's still rumors about No Country For Old Men simply because it was on FilmStruck once upon a time...

The rumors started because the Filmstruck instagram account had said that it was joining the collection:

Gotcha! I guess another one they're sitting on. Would be smart for them to do a 4K now, if they have the 4K rights.

I am really hoping for both of those and I feel like there’s a chance for both.

Kurosawa had a big DVD set already, so maybe they could upgrade it to blu-Ray. Truffaut had the Antoine Donnelly set, also DVD, so maybe they upgrade that one or just go all in on Truffaut. I know a number of his films were just given 4K remasters.

For frame of reference, the FilmStruck post is from Jan. 2018, over 4 years ago.

Coens are working on their most intricate and imperceptible directors' cut yet with No Country for Old Men. That takes time, folks.

They announced a bit late last month, right? They should announce early this month, then.

Tomorrow are the announcements. What are you guys hoping for? I would love for them to release something from Kurosawa and to keep up with the classic Hollywood films.

Once Upon a Time in America from Criterion (or any other label really) would be a dream. It won't be announced, and probably won't happen.

Why not? Maybe it's just me, but I could definitely see Criterion releasing that. Also, while he wasn't someone reliable, didn't that gnocchi guy or whatever he was called say it was coming from Criterion

I would love that! They haven't released a screwball comedy in a while. I might be wrong, but I think the last one was Bringing up Baby and that was way back July of last year.
