They 100% did retain the rights to it. Hopefully they decide to release it in 4K.

I expect Studio Canal will release it on UHD one of those days.

Fine by me, as long as FiM encodes it. With UHD, I honestly don't care whether or not it has a wacky C, as long as the encoding is top notch.

Antonioni is the holy grail of 4k releases for me. The Alienation Trilogy especially, but all his later work would be welcome. And don’t get me started on Zabriskie Point. It doesn’t even have a blu ray release. Surely these deserve a 4k release more than Tammy and the T Rex?

Agreed. Unless whoever releases it absolutely craps the bed with the end result; they’ve got my $$$.

But I will accept I overstated my case, and probably deserved to be called out.

Unfortunately the company that released Tammy and the T-rex on 4k didn't have the rights to the Alienation trilogy. There is no overall body of film arts appreciation that decides which film should first get a home video release on a new format.

It all depends on who has the specific license for what movie (and blu-ray and UHD rights are different), what they think the market for such a release is, and what is the amount of work needed to make a title UHD-ready.

If only art house fans spent money like horror fans.

I pre-loaded my cart yesterday.
Hope they don't get dumped! :fingers crossed: These will get me a $50 certificate.

Mine was dumped overnight. I reloaded it from my wishlist so not hard to re-do but I fully expect it to be zeroed again in the morning. I usually preload it at 10-11am ET and never have had it emptied and the prices auto adjust when the sale goes live

Yep. I’ve pre-loaded my cart every Tuesday morning
for the last month and my cart is always empty the next day. Luckily, they’re still in my wishlist so adding them back is no big deal.

I'd have loved for A Hard Day's Night UHD to be available for this sale but having my doubts.
