Del Toro, me thinks, but either will do.

Del Toro would be the current preference, but only NetFlix's Magic Eightball will have the answer. I've received on release date (Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence) and waited forever for others ("House" for Thanksgiving).

Cool! My NetFlix cycle is Wednesday/Saturday and I mailed The Fallen Idol back on Sunday. I usually get my discs from White Plains, but "Idol" came from Hartford, so I hope I still get my next one shipped for Wednesday.

Here is Cronos autographed if anyone else wants it.

You'll want to get your order in tonight I would think.

To be honest between streaming and the great selection at the local library, the physical discs I get from Netflix are much more of an afterthought now. I've basically been using the physical aspect of my Netflix plan to check out PQ and features on BDs I may want to buy. And I prefer Criterions on DVD from the library to Netflix because I can check out the packaging, so that further limits my queue on physical BD. Still probably won't go to streaming-only plan just yet, though.
That's OK...I trust ya!

I wish that my library stocked Criterion media...no such luck!

NetFlix has been a great option for checking out films. The Magician was the last one I rented, that I wound up buying.

Well...finally bought my first BFI title. Been meaning to get the Tokyo Story BD and finally pulled the trigger tonight. We'll see how long it takes to get here (Amazon UK-Standard Shipping)...been spoiled with MoCs great shipping!

I'd personally rather have his name signed on the cover than a personal note to myself. Not like he's going to remember it anyway. I won't ever sell it though.

I have two rare dvds that were sold online signed and I'm glad I picked them up at the time. Good conversation starters.

I ordered it. Only a few dollars more than ordering elsewhere anyway.

I've always found it weird that people wanted other people's signatures in general....... I got a couple of things given to me, but the times when I've met people who are considered "autograph-worthy" I've either just said "hello" and exchanged pleasantries..... or I've troubled them for a photo..... Most of these people end up doing "events" where they sign their name 1,000 times.... The only person the signature is special to, is you.... and that's because you were there, so may as well just get a picture with you in it instead Either that, or the story of "I said this to so and so" is much better than.... "hey... hold on... check out this napkin signed by the late-great..... etc"

I have multiple photos with Larry Bird (friend's dad owns a golf-course by his/one of his) but I was a Laker's fan growing up Now I couldn't possibly care any less about the NBA..... Despite all my photos of him, and his signed golf-visor, cards, and ball I've gotten from him...... The time Ozzy Osborne bought me a beer at a casino is by far my best "meeting" and I didn't get an autograph etc.... I'd trade every Larry Bird autograph/basketball/visor etc. for another Molson Canadian courtesy of the Prince-of-Darkness (and I'm not an Ozzy or Black-Sabbath fan)

What were we talking about again????? Oh yeah.... Bergman > Toro

Do you just dislike the fact a Phish fan isn't an Ozzy fan, and you by mistake, copy part of the quote you didn't want to quote?

Amazon is running a buy a $50 gift card --- get $5 to spend for yourself.

I needn't tell anyone how this may be used to get a discount on two blu-rays

Thanks for breaking the ice, shell. You stopped me from posting something silly, just to get the ball rolling for this morning.

Does anyone know if one can buy an Amazon gift card for themselves and use it (and get the $5 promo credit)? I'd imagine it's possible but if not.............. I have a buddy at work that loves Criterions, too and we could arrange discounts for ourselves, I guess.

Ozzy is my idol, I haven't heard any Phish music.

I like Bergman and Del Toro equally....didn't care for Hellboy 2 all that much though.

Earlier this year Amazon was running a similar deal, and I bought a bunch for myself...so yes, you should be able to do that.

Received my copies of Cronos and Videodrome yesterday. I have actually never seen Videodrome, look forward to watching it tonight. It'll look great on the shelf next to The Fly.

Videodrome is one of my favorite things in the Collection, so I hope you enjoy it.

Off topic: seeing Enter the Void tonight, anyone here seen it? The people I know in real life just said "ITS CRAZY MAN" and on Mubi opinions are all over the place.

Got my Videodrome and Inception in today. Cronos will wait until Christmas, but that's fine with me.
