Showtime has an A24 collection, a lot of them in 4K. The selection has gotten smaller in the last month or so though.

Must have been it.

I added Showtime (and a few others) cheaply to Prime for a couple months during black friday, so I still have a shot at what's left A24-wise, as I let Showtime renew for another month to get to some of the other stuff there. Pity Showtime is merging with Paramount+ though.

Can't really see subscribing to any of them for much longer than a couple (cheap) months, hardly have the time as it is. Do tend to watch a fair amount on the Criterion Channel though, and some things on Prime, my two long term streaming subscriptions.

HBO Max has quite a few A24 titles at the moment.

I enjoyed Kiarostami's Like Someone In Love a lot. There's much in it that you can't nail down, so when you watch and rewatch, you can think of each moment in a couple of different ways. Even through the end. I like this self-reflective, open-ended, playful quality -- done with extreme control. I'd put it in the top 20% of his work if not higher, at least as I've experienced his films.

Can't speak to the disc itself, but I can say it didn't distract me.

Could also have been Kanopy. They have most of the A24 stuff on there.

I think the first answer with Showtime (via Prime) might have been correct. I don't have access to Kanopy, and haven't subscribed to too much else for streaming. Can't seem to find it right now (via browsing Prime/Showtime via Firefox), so… maybe I'll stumble across it again some day. Should have some time in a couple days.

Saw Is exact word. It's definitely been on Showtime, but their exclusive deal ended and movies started popping on other services and being removed from Sho.

And Everything is Going Fine is OOP. For the collectors out there, might want to catch a copy before prices skyrocket.

I don’t know if Schizopolis was previously OOP but just found it out as well. Any other titles went OOP recently?

Gray's Anatomy is OOP, so it sounds like we might be getting that 4K Soderbergh box.

Schizopolis was available as late as Nov 2022 according to Way Back machine results, so it's definitely gone OOP recently, probably the same time as these others.

I'm pretty sure it was available as recently as yesterday. I was looking at Criterions I don't own in preparation for a potential upcoming flash sale.

I think someone said last year the sale was in the first week of March.
I remember it's most often seemed to be in the last week (or two) of this month.

To piggyback off this- does anyone know if you can fill up your cart before the sale starts, and sale prices will be reflected once it's on- to streamline checkout?

Or do you have to go in cold and make your selections only when the sale in on, for the discount to apply properly?

Also, do the $50 rewards coupons expire at some point? I think I got mine back in 2021 and have been waiting since then to use it.

I believe that the Criterion site clears out all shopping carts nightly, but you can save items in your wish list and then move them to your cart when you are ready to order. The sale prices are applied as soon as the sale goes live. As far as the certificates go, I don’t think they expire, but I’ve never kept mine for more than a year before using it.

I'm making my list for the upcoming flash sale and noticed that the Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! dual disc edition is currently unavailable. Does that mean it's out of print or just out of stock?

Criterion is slowly taking out the remaining dual formatted titles and re-releasing them in standard Blu-rays or DVDs individually. The dual format idea didn't work out well for them, so they decided to go back to individual Blu-ray or DVD releases. This film is a bit late, but I believe there's still a few dual-format release that haven't gone out yet. Nothing special about these releases outside of having both a Blu-ray and DVD copy, unless if it's Picnic at Hanging Rock, which included the source novel which didn't make it in the individual Blu-ray release.
