Well, since the sale isn't until next week, and the 15th falls on a Wednesday, with no holiday before it, I'm hoping for some more announcements, tomorrow.

I'm not groaning or moaning about anything this time, as they've already fulfilled one of my big wish list items with that beautiful Pasolini set.

But, I'd still go ga-ga if I got some more goodies announced tomorrow.

Hm, guess they forgot to adjust for unique generated codes with every email. Hopefully they fix this. I've sent them an email.

There's always that risk when buying a movie during a sale.

It's not quite as bad as the myth of the consumer that purchased a collector's edition blu-ray of Lawrence of Arabia that included an actual frame of the movie. The full movie was received but the frame came from the overture.

Is there another place that reviews criterion releases? I’ve never much cared for the main reviewer’s interpretation or perspective on these films.

If you can get past the mid-90s web design, DVD Beaver has a lot of useful info and screen caps.

Their technical breakdowns are pretty great and thorough. Two wildly different views on the “3 colors” technical merits. One wonders if it’s not an equipment issue? I’ve always trusted dvdbeaver more on that front.

I would assume so. The email I got said, "We love our Criterion Channel subscribers!" Though it's possible they'll send another corrected email saying "We love our Criterion Channel subscribers! (except Rizor)." Seriously though, I hope you get the coupon code and it may be worth reaching out to Criterion if it seems like they overlooked you.
