Then again, there have been plenty of Janus retrospectives recently that haven't received home video releases -- Eric Rohmer's "Tales of the Four Seasons", Márta Mészáros films, Kinuyo Tanaka films, and François Truffaut's "The Adventures of Antoine Doinel".

Yeah, I expected a Kinuyo Tanaka set, and even a Márta Mészáros one before the released Adoption separately. I have to imagine Antoine Doinel is coming in November, but who knows at this point.

Yeah, I kinda feel like anyone who'd be interested in "La Bamba" would already know the sad outcome of the story.

Even in 1987, when the film first came out, everyone already knew the ending, LOL.

Still packs quite an emotional punch, anyway.

Jokes aside, super stoked for La Bamba! Probably a good time to sell those TT blus. The announcement came at the perfect time where I was considering the Australian release.

On a side note, I find it strangely funny how many people have to declare that they own the TT release. It comes across as that weird geeky desire to state that they bought it first (and used to have a $300 HD copy of the movie). Hehe…I get the general weird desire to say “I went to the concert when they were nobodies”, but I still find it a funny detail where people can’t help but bring it up.
