So what are you guys opinions on when we are going to get some Wes Anderson on 4K. Tenenbaums, Zissou, Budapest Hotel & Asteroid City especially. I love Mr. Fox but Im not sure how that style of animation would transfer.

As such that style of animation would transfer beautifully - it's primarily stop motion, so everything is in-camera. However, the source is a 2K DI, so a 4K UHD release would primarily be an upscale. But it might still benefit from HDR.

I'd buy them all, but Zissou would be a day one!

The real question: will Barnes and Noble carry the Janus titles?

Why do you think they wouldn’t?

I figure it might be too much trouble for people to calculate the half off for a different price.

In this day and age people can barely take the half off of the regular Criterion’s! Is it too off or bottom off?

There is a new Nanny cover.

Here's the older one.

Nope. But it should be obvious as to why.

I'm no expert, but apparently it's difficult to do a boxset with films from various studios.

Winchester 73 - Universal
Bend of the River - Universal
The Naked Spur - Warner Bros
The Far Country - Universal
The Man from Laramie - Sony

I'd be happy just to have Winchester 73 on BD.

That, The Big Sky, 7 Men from Now and Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid are the remaining big holes to fill for American westerns on HD disc.

I decided to do a last-minute purchase before the sale ended and got The Ranown Westerns box set. A pretty expensive blind buy but as a fan of Westerns, I'm sure I'm going to like them.

100% deserving, but likely will never happen.

I finally got to a Barnes & Nobles and bought from the sale. It was slim pickings by the last day though and I had to order 3 titles from Amazon price matched to the sale.

I wish I could have bought more, but I picked up:

After Hours 4K
One False Move 4K
Targets
Thelma & Louise 4K
Time Bandits 4K

I bought 21 titles during the sale. Watched a few during my days off and enjoyed them.
