Yeah it's hard to say. To Die For is their only 4K title coming out that month, but The Devil and Daniel Webster has been one that people have been wanting/anticipating for a long time, so it's bound to be a good seller for them too.

Yeah, I guess that's more accurate: been in March the last two years.

Whenever it is, I hope we can get some clarity on the subs fault on the Four Seasons box set by then.

My guess for the sale: 2/27

No reason other than all winter flash sales in leap years have been in February.

My wishlist is ready. I hope to fill in a few director's gaps this flash sale:

3 Silent Classics by Josef von Sternberg [BD]
Bo Widerberg's New Swedish Cinema [BD]
Chantal Akerman Masterpieces, 1968–1978 [BD]
Paddle to the Sea [DVD]
The Damned [BD]
The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum [BD]
The Night Porter [BD]
The Tin Drum [BD]
Three Fantastic Journeys by Karel Zeman [BD]

I also have Werckmeister Harmonies [4K+BD] and A Story of Floating Weeds / Floating Weeds: Two Films by Yasujiro Ozu [BD] already preordered not part of any sale.

I have $30 in codes and will pass the mark for the $50 gift card.

It's gonna be a bit of a haul.

I just think too many high profile titles have been released since the November B&N sale. We had 4k upgrades of the Apu trilogy and Blood Simple. New releases of Lone Star and Trainspotting. Even Days of Heaven 4K was pushed back in to December. Roaring Twenties next Tuesday.

Also some past March dates were I felt victims of circumstances. The waiting for A Hard Day's Night to be corrected first. Restocking of the Ingrid Bergman box set....

I had to be good during the last flash sale because we were in the middle of house selling/purchasing.

I aim to misbehave this time.

Murray Hamilton is indeed an excellent actor. Seconds was reportedly Frankenheimer's favorite of his films.

Can we get people in the closet, whenever they pick up a Lewton film, to ask what's going on with I Walked With A Zombie?

I know you're referring to a specific situation from years ago.

There's also the fact that some of the box sets "sell out" multiple times during a flash sale, so I don't plan on waiting to place my order this time (whenever the sale may be).

I had to wait around in previous years for the ZATOICHI and BERGMAN sets; VARDA must not be a huge seller because that one I had no issues with.

The Devil and Daniel Webster is probably their biggest March title, and that one comes out on the 12th.
These 2 titles are on my TBL (ToBuyList!) for sure… will see if I can find anymore on the Criterion Sale (Lone Star?)!

I also kind of hope that the flash sale is in March as I'm cleaned out.

What could possibly be keeping them from a release!

They don’t really announce their UK released, but the U.S. release is almost 2 years old.

Does anyone have experience with getting replacement discs that are not part of a large replacement program? I was watching my copy of The Philadelphia Story tonight when it froze and skipped during Hepburn’s first scene with the reporters.

I decided to send an email about this and another disc I had issues with. My copy of The Valley of the Dolls won’t play at all because it has a small chip in it.

I purchased these discs long ago but only noticed these flaws on recent, first time viewings (or attempted viewings). I have a large collection and I can’t watch everything as soon as I buy it.

I wouldn’t mind paying a small fee to just replace the discs.

I got a replacement disk for Moonage Daydream on 4k after troubleshooting over email. No physical issues with the disc, it just didn't play.
