The sole inclusion of 'Perfect Days' has me stupidly, ridiculously excited.

These releases are making me certain that I will certainly will be making far too many movie purchases during the July B&N sale.

Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid is long overdue. I've grown cooler towards Criterion in recent years, but I for sure will be buying that.

Some outstanding announcements. Especially excited about Perfect Days and on 4K. I have been looking forward to seeing it and it didn't play in theaters near me.

Happy to see that 5 of the 6 mainline releases have 4K UHD options. It has been many years since I last watched Farewell My Concubine and I recall having mixed feelings about it. To be fair, the transfer quality was abysmal, so I wonder if I'll revisit it and consider it a masterpiece (as so many do). Will revisit it.

Seem to have been waiting for Pat Garrett since 2017 or so. Glad it's finally here.

The only certainty for me is Farewell My Concubine 4K.

Going to go for the French 4K of Le Samourai. I would prefer to stream (I really like saving money ok) Perfect Days and Risky Business to decide whether or not I want to own them physically. I am torn on Pat Garrett, maybe or maybe not, might be impulsive. Not really interested in Black God White Devil.

The Pathe release looks slightly darker judging by the youtube trailers.

An outstanding month. I will say - seeing the trailer for Farewell My Concubine and I am convinced I will enjoy it more on 4K than when I first saw it years ago. I also believe I might not have seen the uncut version, either. The 4K scan looks incredible from the trailer.

I am picking up all of the July releases. Black God, White Devil looks incredible, too. That one wasn't even on my radar. Great releases in July.

The cut you may have missed is the 2k master of the Final Preview Cut. (It is further down the spec list)

Saving my Le Samouraï French Order, but I’m definitely in for Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid, Farewell My Concubine, Perfect Days and Black God, White Devil!

We're getting closer! Just Captain Blood, and O Lucky Man! to go.

Round Midnight
The Roaring Twenties
The Philadelphia Story
Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid

O Lucky Man
Lone Star
Hedwig & The Angry Inch

Captain Blood
Bringing Up Baby
Arsenic and Old Lace

also...

Mean Streets
Barry Lyndon

The fact that these were listed as OOP in the same time as some of the titles licensed to CC, led me to believe that, perhaps, I'm on something here, and that this is not merely a coincidence. We shall see...

This is exactly what I’m talking about Criterion great stuff right here. I’m buying three of these titles Le samurai, Pat Garrett, and Farewell, My Concubine another great lineup Criterion. I’m impressed I might eventually buy Risky Business at some point along with Black God, White Devil as every single one of these titles I’m absolutely interested in. Even though nothing from my list got announced that doesn’t matter this lineup is so so so good.

Interesting, and it seems like Captain Blood is probably next along with probably Barry Lyndon in 4K UHD plus Blu-Ray. This is definitely not a coincidence I think Criterion had a number of these titles in the works for a long while.

And they're all coming in July: Barnes and Noble Sale Month! Pat Garrett's release date is July 2. Won't have to wait too far into the month!

Criterion has never released Barry Lyndon before on Blu-Ray, or 4K UHD at all so I wonder if that might get announced for August next month. I’ll have to keep an eye on this list.
The Criterion Barry Lyndon Blu-ray has been out for several years now?
