Yes they have. 7 years ago.

Holy shit. What a month.

I've said it numerous times, but Risky Business is truly the best teen film, in my opinion. Nothing comes remotely close.

Couldn’t agree more. When I was younger, I went to the video store each weekend and literally rented every teen film I could get my hands on. Risky Business stood out immediately by a mile. Fell in love with it instantly. As soon as the credits rolled, I knew I had just witnessed something special.

68+ viewings and 25 years later, and I still feel the same.

This is without a doubt the best month ever. It's truly beautiful. If even one of these titles got dropped along an otherwise weak slate, it would still be a solid month. We got all these heavy-hitters at once.

While they're all 10/10 for me, Pat Garrett is just above and beyond even what I was expecting. Day One for everything.

Anyone who complains about this month loses a testicle. This is the best month they've ever had. PG was one of my top four Criterions I wanted (along with 4Ks of Brazil, The Third Man, and The Devils), and the rest were in my top 20. It's time to start writing my July sale list.

Haha ecstatic mate. I knew it was coming from Criterion, but the question was when!? Absolutely over joyed to see it get announced

I’ll be making sure I have a fridge full of MGD for when the disc arrives. Can’t wait.

I'll drink to that, cheers! *CLINK!*
Still waiting for that Nutsack Tadpoles edition of Iced (1988) to be released on Bru-lay by Other Label though... sad to say.

Haha I never expected ICED to take on the legend it did when I made my post in the Code Red thread all those years ago. ICED will eventually get a release from someone. It’s been/is a long wait though!

Just said in another thread, that if we can get ICED, Best of the Best 1 and 2 in 4K, Kickboxer 2 and the forthcoming Kickboxer 4K to turn out properly, I’m not far off a full house of dream releases.

Every member here should have the feeling I’ve felt today with Risky Business 4K finally being announced. Seems like it has taken forever. I genuinely hope that everyone gets to experience it with their favourite film being announced.

here's a trailer for my new film on Peckinpah (PAT GARRETT) featuring Jim Coburn, Kris Kristofferson, L.Q. Jones, R.G. Armstrong, Dan Melnick, Katy Haber, Gordy Dawson, Chalo Gonzalez & scarce audio-interviews from the set:

I posted a few days back that I am going to see Le Samouraļ on the big screen here in Atlanta next week, since it is my all-time favorite Criterion title and one of my top five all-time favorite films in general.

Sign me up for the 4K UHD Blu-rays of Le Samouraļ and Risky Business.

During the past few months, I have pretty much waved the white flag at Blu-ray collecting and stopped buying stuff altogether except for a few boutique label items. No way I'm passing up on the above two titles, though.

Hopefully, Tom Cruise and Criterion can convince Di$ney to give us 4K's of Cocktail and The Color of Money. It's extremely doubtful, but maybe Cruise can charm some pants off.
