Well, no telling when they'll announce Following, but as CG stated earlier, The Game will probably be announced soon.

I would have preferred to see Murmur of the Heart (Le souffle au coeur) instead of Au Revoir Les Enfants.

Additionally, with the recent wave of horror titles, I was actually hoping to see Víctor Erice's The Spirit of the Beehive (El espíritu de la colmena).

And finally, the freshly restored Le amiche, which has been championed by Gucci in Europe, could have been excellent to have as the first B&W Michelangelo Antonioni film on Blu-ray.

And so I will continue to wait for L'Avventura and L'eclisse

I know these have been announced for weeks, but I think it's the first month where I want every single release.

I saw The Spirit of the Beehive once when I was in college, but the only thing I remember was thinking about it for days after and then it was lost to me. I haven't been able to get my hands on it since. Here's to hoping I get a refresher soon from Criterion.

Edit: I see they have a 2006 DVD release!

That would've been a daring release. It's a fine film but the subject matter wouldn't sell. Although, Criterion has released 2 Oshimas on blu...


As for March:

I've seen the Malle and the Harvey Milk doc. I'm in for Malle but not the Milk film (It's good but it's a one and done film, imo).
