The Chantel Akerman set has an additional 10 percent off coupon in addition to the 50 percent off discount price (paid about $45.00) on Amazon right now.

Since I avoided the Severin sale I’m going with the Kino and Criterion sales along with Vinegar Syndrome sales. Although I sticked to the Amazon deals on Criterion titles as they basically match the price on a number of Barnes and Noble Criterion sales titles. That being said, I did pick up some of these titles I’ve been wanting for a long while. Really good deals though

Muholland Drive
Shaft 4K UHD plus Blu-Ray
Barry Lyndon
Nothing But a Man this film looks very very good also incredibly underrated

I still plan on buying certain titles mostly African American films that are either classics, or incredibly underrated.

Do the Right Thing
Buck and the Preacher
Kwaidan
Three Outlaw Samurai
Mississippi Masala

Honestly, I think that’s good

Had to venture out to an actual B&N store (thanks, MifuneFan) to grab a copy of Pat Garrett since Amazon refuses to price match. I was worried they wouldn't have copies in stock since this seems to be a top seller but there were at least 4 copies. Very excited to check this out. Also grabbed a copy of La Bamba because it said New 4K restoration but it's probably still the same scan Twilight Time used. It was worth a double dip at $20.

Amazon's coupons are targeted for select accounts. I don't have it either.

Ah, that's why I couldn't find it at bn.com. Out of stock items were not included in the search results.

I wonder if Criterion has access to more Tracy/Hepburn films. They've only released Woman of the Year but I would love to see a BD release of Adam's Rib which is my favorite starring them.

Can't believe we are only a couple weeks out from getting Risky Business in 4K. Being from the UK, a few of you US guys will get it before me. I have ordered it from Atomic and paid for super fast shipping, so hopefully I won't be too far behind.

I don't know if anyone from Criterion checks these boards, but cheers for releasing it. Can't wait to drink 10 bottles of cold MGD and watch it.

This was me when Return of the Living Dead got a 4K release. I was so excited!

I find myself getting less excited with announcements these days, mainly due to the endless re-releases. But nothing compares to your favourite film getting a 4K release. Especially when the previous disc is years old.

Glad we both have our favourites to enjoy in 4K mate.

This was (for the most part, I don't drink) me when Cinderella came out on 4K. I don't how I lived waiting over a month after getting it to actually watch it

Yep, I can think of only two releases that would get me truly excited like before. American Beauty and Lost in Translation in 4K. Supposedly the latter is coming from Kino but they've been radio silent on the release.

I LOVE American Beauty. Fairly confident it will see a 4K at some point. Lost In Translation is another personal favourite. Kino will get it released as soon as Sofia Coppola free's up some time (hopefully soon!)

For me it would be Rage in Harlem which is looking like a title Criterion has as I don’t feel like buying that three film Blu-Ray from Miramax as that wasn’t a good release of the film. As Kino just announced Harvey Keitel title number 2 Blue in the Face so it looks like Heartburn is about to be announced soon this week. Meaning either Criterion, or Arrow Video has Rage in Harlem I’m really leaning towards Criterion on having Rage in Harlem, and it would also be their second Bill Duke title first one was Deep Cover which I already have.

I saw Monster in the theater and was blown away by it. Seems to have kind of gone under the radar when it was released stateside. Though I fuq w Well Go, I’m not sure why such a high profile international director didn’t get more of a red carpet treatment. The score from Ryuichi Sukimoto is also superb.I believe it was his last one and he wrote it while he was dying. You can really feel the fatality of life in the minimalistic way the music was composed.
