Does anyone know why Criterion insist on being so cagey with respect to what’s forthcoming from them until a release officially has a street date? Kino, BFI, and Radiance are all more communicative with their customer base about what they have the rights to, what will probably be getting released in the near future, what they don’t have the rights to, etc.

I guess I just saw your comment and thought that means nothings getting upgraded I just assume things sometimes although there is no connection with Paper Moon getting upgraded last month to other months I just made that connection up. Still super stoked about Paper Moon though more Peter Bogdanovich upgrades are great.

I don't think it's intentional. They used to tease future releases in cryptic drawings every New Years Day and monthly, but then the artist who made the drawings died and they just never bothered to come up with a new way to tease releases. They're clearly not opposed to teasing releases because they still do occasionally when people from the company are interviewed.

I gotta say um this is probably my least favorite month of Criterion releases in a while besides Paris, Texas, and No Country for Old Men there’s only one new to Blu-Ray title disappointing.

I'll take No Country For Old Men. Stupendous film that should look great on 4K. I have the Curzon Paris, Texas on preorder but I could also grab this edition at some point. Don't know or care about the others.

I preordered 8 1/2 just now. If I get Paris, Texas on UHD I’ll probably get a Euro release. I’m sure No Country for Old Men will get a euro UHD at some point too.
