No. But I guess people are tired of hearing about me request it, you know, since we have to get dvds and blus from studios who has/can release them over to Criterion for them to put a crooked letter on the cover.

I can't find any region that has the Last Movie on dvd. If so, it would finally be the reason for me to go region-free. I do know where I could of found Darjeeling Limited on U.S. dvd before Criterion got it. Why are people cool with that but telling me I can find rips of the Last Movie, like that's good enough but these studio dvds that Criterion are picking up needs attention?

Chirst, man. Give it a rest. The chip on your shoulder is bigger than Godard's ego.

Criterion shipped my "Chungking Express" today. I so glad they had it in stock. Hopefully, they still have replacement cases available.

Last Movie is more important to release, as Out of the Blue atleast had a dvd release (even though OOP). Doesn't mean I wouldn't be super happy with either, if one sees a future release by someone.

Nah, the best character would have to be Lando's Mexican co-pilot. Just put his mug on the front cover. Nothing but that.

Thumbs up "The Thin Red Line"

I finally got to watch The Thin Red Line tonight. Picked it up a month ago and it probably represents the longest time I've ever gone from a purchase to viewing.

I was completely mesmerized by this film. Superb on all aspects. Excecuted and performed with the highest degree of care. Gripping and riveting are really not enough to describe how I felt while watching all 2 hours and 45 minutes of it. I didn't get up one time.

Technically, it's amazing to watch and hear on BD (no news to the many here who own it ). I don't recall any other film with as much detail and presence of environmental sounds. The video transfer produces a beautiful and stunning level of detail.

Fans of war epics absolutely must not pass this film by, even though this title is typically a few more dollars to own.

They haven't shipped the BBS Collection I ordered on the 27th. The transaction is still pending on PayPal too. My 2 month free membership expires tomorrow so I'm concerned canceling my membership will void the free shipping.

My debit card was charged, but still no shipment notice. Someone in the Deals forum said they ordered an Apocalypse Now set on the 27th, got an email saying it was to ship on the 28th with nothing after that, and it just showed up today, so hopefully thats the case for us.

Army of Shadows had so much potential but IMO it failed in execution. I'm glad it's out on Blu-ray, but that movie is such a disappointment. It's curious such a disinteresting story can emerge from a subject as interesting as the French Resistance. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the movie to start but it never got going. Perhaps my expectations were just too high. (That's what I get for letting the hype get to me.) In that respect it reminded me a great deal of Le Samourai and The Conformist and a couple of other European movies (i.e. Amarcord) from that time period--I was interested in the premise but bored stiff in how the story was rolled out. I'm sure it looks as good as it ever has on Blu-ray though.

The status of my order says "Expected ship date: December 28th". I also received an email saying the order was expected to be shipped, but nothing confirming shipping.

To be honest, the cinematography was the only thing I enjoyed from the film. I was very bored during the entire thing.

I wouldn't talk crap about Linda Manz. Great young actress of that time.
