I knew a day would come sometime when we would finally disagree! Well, we had a great record up until now!

A great month of releases. Excited about everything announced. Some of my favorite films, too. 4K upgrades.

Solid month overall, I just expected something along the lines of After Hours rare to come out. Carnal Knowledge is the best equivalent to that, but I don't think the demand is anywhere near as high. Still, I'm more than happy getting The Big Heat and Antoine Doinel from this lineup.

In my case, I don't have the booklet haha. I mean, you could still sell it and put the booklet inside the Criterion case, it would take less space. The original art is pretty damn good, I agree with that.

Very happy about The Big Heat! Absolutely getting that asap!

Also will pick up Barry Lyndon!

Yeah, I'm just tired of the constant influx of 4K upgrades. The only one I'm slightly interested in is Carnal Knowledge, but the rest are upgrades of already good releases and films that really don't interest me. That's two months in a row where I'm not getting a single title right off the bat.

I am usually with you, but since Kubrick is my favorite director and You Can Count on Me & Carnal Knowledge are new to blu/ray/4K, this is a solid month for me.

The 4K upgrade thing is barely a factor this time---Carnal Knowledge, You Can Count on Me, and 3 of the Antione Doinel films are all entirely new to HD (in the US). Furthermore, CK has been rumored to be with Criterion for a decade plus.

Big Heat is the closest of an "already good edition", but at least in the US that edition is a long OOP Twilight Time.

I think this month is a Duke taste thing, not the wasted slot with things that already have good editions argument (which has been valid a bunch).

Another great month - I'm in for Carnal Knowledge, the Doinel set, The Big Heat, and obviously, Barry Lyndon 4K.

Not a bad slate when there's Lang, Truffaut, Nichols, and a Kubrick upgrade all in one month.

Also Barry Lyndon which I thought was a near perfect release IMO. Still happy for those that are happy, but it's a dud month for me personally, especially for the big July month.

I’d all but given up on ever seeing an upgrade of The Adventures of Antoine Doinel. That alone makes this a great month for me!
I’ll eventually get the 4K upgrades of Barry Lyndon and The Big Heat but the existing BDs I have are fine for now. I’ll get Carnal Knowledge down the line also. Overall, a month reminiscent of the Criterion of old.

The stacked UK Indicator edition is still in print, region free and budget priced.
