Next year is the 30th Anniversary of Bottle Rocket, so it wouldn't shock me if the set is this year's big November release.

Sort of inconceivable in an age where we got a 4K Ranown set that a (mostly) completist Wes Anderson set wouldn't be a full-on 4k release, surely?

Yeah, they've certainly put out much nicher titles on 4K. I just wonder if they are able to do 4K releases of them all. Like, have older titles like Bottle Rocket, and Rushmore been given newer 4K scans for instance? There's also a possibility of a mixed format set, with some being in 4K, and others not.

I also figured that if/when Wes Anderson's films were upgraded to 4K, they'd be released individually over time. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. This feels like the kind of set Criterion might announce on its own day, rather than part of their regularly scheduled announcements.

Criterion does tend to announce the big box sets in July (outside of the normal 15th of the month) with release in November or December.

I look forward to getting Isle of Dogs and French Dispatch in solo releases a year after the box set release.

Yeah, her breakout role was in the Netflix series Orange is the New Black. She's great in that, though the series itself runs out of steam towards the end of its run.

She's also in one more Netflix series called Russian Doll. I've only seen the first season (of two) for that so far, but she's also just as entertaining there too. She's basically the same in real life as she is in most of her roles.

Sometimes I wonder if Jon Mulvaney is really Wes Anderson and if the director has a stake in Criterion as a silent partner. There is no other director whose body of work is solely exclusive to Criterion. And I wouldn't be surprised if someday, Wes Anderson makes a film based on the Criterion Collection including putting a large film closet in his story that acts as a secret passageway to other parts of the video company in a Being John Malkovich or Willy Wonka sort of way.

I just really want ASTEROID CITY 4K. That's easily my favorite of his. Love MOONRISE KINGDOM but don't have a strong desire to sell off my Criterion BD and upgrade for the time being. Might pick up GRAND BUDAPEST and RUSHMORE down the line.

I love that Diego effectively doubled what he got because so many films caught his eye when going for a specific one. And oh ya... need to pay attention to the Janus Contemporaries lineup like Totem

She was famous as a teenager in the 90s in Slums of Beverly Hills, But I'm a Cheerleader, and American Pie. This TV career is a comeback for her - I wasn't even aware she was still acting until I saw this Criterion closet.

Yeah, like you say, she was actually an up-and-coming teen/early-20s star, hit the booze and drugs, came back with Orange and found her niche.

I spotted amazon.com has the Gregg Araki Teen Apocalypse 4k UHD boxset for just under $60. According to amazon that's 48 per cent off RRP.
