I just saw my first Criterion movie which was Che....and all I could say it WOW!

Finally got a Criterion copy of "Ran," instead of the Studio Canal version. Looking forward to watching it later this week.

I don't understand why you'd rather buy a dvd when there is a blu ray out there. People love to complain so much about everything non-Criterion, when the Studio Canal isn't as terrible as people make it out to be.

I went ahead and got the Criterion version right now for economic and supply reasons. Should I decide to give the Studio Canal version a try later on, I can readily acquire it at a much lower price, especially with coupons etc.

Really? I rented the German version, and it had horrible audio dropouts.

Is this not the case with the U.S release?

I'd definitely get it asap then, since the film is an extraordinary masterpiece IMHO.

I've had 'In the Realm of Senses' on backorder from BN.com since Nov 23! Last title from the 50% off sale that I'm waiting on. What's taking so long??? Anyone else?
