A real-life Ivy League fight between Neal (44-3 record between Northwestern and Harvard) and Robert Ryan (undefeated at Dartmouth) would have been fireworks.

My predictions
Dog Day Afternoon
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore clearly there's a reason Criterion has it on the channel right now
Robert Altman 70s-2000s box set
Hud
All the Presidents Men 4K this is also on the channel too very interesting
Red Beard
The Wind
Captain Blood I'm still thinking Criterion has this, and if they do they need to put this out in December.
Eclipse Series 8 Lubitsch Musicals Blu-Ray upgrade we obviously already know about this so this is the only confirmed title

I think this list feels pretty realistic compared to the list of predictions I had for November where I only got two titles correct from the release slate.

Dark horses
Dead Presidents
Brother From Another Planet
Birth looks like Criterion will be putting this out at some point
I know Where I'm Going!
49th Parallel
The Cook the Thief The Wife and Her Lover
Cyrano de Bergerac
Krush Groove
Trouble in Paradise
Demon Lover
Welcome to the Terrordome
O Lucky Man!
The Mack

Highly rumored
The French Connection
Deliverance
The Year of Living Dangerously
The Mosquito Coast
Mask

That would be an amazing fight. I feel like my money is on Ryan. However, I also think Neal would be the type to fight dirty if he felt like he was at risk of losing.

I believe YI YI's 4K restoration just debuted in US cinemas last Friday, so I would expect that one to hit disc in 2026, but I could be wrong.

Sometimes they’re quite fast with a disc release. While I can’t remember the title, it wasn’t that long ago that the turnaround was as quick as I’m anticipating here with Yi Yi.

My December prediction is The Muppet Christmas Carol on 4k. I know it's with Disney, but let me dream.

[Show spoiler]And a nice restoration of the Muppet Family Christmas TV special would be a great bonus feature...

I would welcome The Muppet Christmas Carol! In fact, I'd welcome a whole Muppet boxed set--including "Muppet Babies" which I have childhood nostalgia for. Lol.

Caught is a great movie! I have the Olive blu ray release. In fact, I'd welcome an Ophuls box set, which includes "Letter From an Unknown Woman."

Guillermo deal Toro called it his favorite Christmas Carol adaptation, Brian Henson has been trying to reinstate “When Love Is Gone” to international versions of the film, AND Criterion released WALL-E, so it’s not completely out of the question.

I'm with Guillermo del Toro on this one. Frankly, I am so sick of "A Christmas Carol," and all the iterations of it; but I do love "The Muppet Christmas Carol."

A little bit of wishful thinking, but perhaps Criterion could do a two film George Stevens set of The More the Merrier and The Talk of the Town on blu. That would make up for Sony's strange move of releasing the latter film on 4K but not blu.

As for December -
Girl Shy or Why Worry (or perhaps both as a double feature)
Hud
Captain Blood
The Wedding March
Trouble in Paradise and/or anything else Lubitsch related
Ruggles of Red Gap

If they're able to pry anything out of the Mouse House, please let it be the Borzage silents - Seventh Heaven, Street Angel, and Lucky Star.
