Well he did the poster campaign for the film, but to be honest the overall design is simple and clean for the Blu/ DVD release however in my eyes it doesn't look that Criterion to me.

Keller's work is all really good, I love the piece he did for THE AMERICAN, I really love that film.

The menu design isn't in a Criterion format, background footage is simple without giving away details of the film. (Pet Peeve is that the menu will pay key film sequences total spoiler alert)

I doubt this film was ever going to be a Criterion release from the start, SONY started licensing films to Criterion again but a film like this I think any studio would hold onto it and take the money for themselves fully.

I ended up opening my case with a razor blade on the spine that lets the inner case pull out, downside is if I ever want to unwrap it there goes the outer slip haha.

I finally watched my copy of Hunger last night. I thought it was a really good film. It was powerful, disturbing, and beautiful. I was literally at the edge of me seat with my jaw dropped when
[Show spoiler]the swat team came in a started beating the prisoners.
and
[Show spoiler]when the prison worker dies in the nursing home next to is mom and she just sits there staring dead ahead.
The minor problem I had with it was that I could barely understand the characters at times. I had to rewind a few times and put on subtitles. A truly great film.

I can't wait to watch my other Criterion blu-rays. And I hope to get more soon.

A quick fun fact, Tinto Brass was asked to direct A Clockwork Orange, but didn't do it. Instead he made this film, which as much as I love A Clockwork Orange, this is better.

Tina Aumont, the woman in my pic, is worth to watch this alone.
Hey SpiderGodard,
Have you seen the Brass film Salon Kitty...I've been interested in seeing it, and noticed there was a blu release of it.

I hope they make the announcement on Friday for new Criterions!

I thought it was great, its sort of at the bottom of my list of Criterion's I feel I should own, I always end up with something else when there is a sale. To me its not that enjoyable of a film to watch, but its very thought provoking, the whole thing was quite compelling to me. I consider it a strange and small masterpiece.

No, even though I have known about it for awhile (when I started in film, I was an exploitation fan first, so later in that fan base, Blue Underground was Criterion in that field. I'm prob still a bigger B-movie/exploitation fan than anything, but that is a different story.) I haven't seen any of his "erotic" films, besides Caligula (which kind of not fully his). His 60's films are pretty good so far. I should of got his 3 60's films set instead of buying Howl by itself. But I'm renting his others. I'll most likely get to it soon, with the blu-ray out.

I hope they do a BD release of Fishing with John simply so it can get a new cover. It currently has the worst cover ever. Not just for a Criterion, but out of any cover EVER.
