Maybe they've give use Bob the Gambler, too. Kind of like the dual P&P release in July (which was awesome).

One can wish.

Although it could be that other powers own distribution rights also and have their say in US distribution also.

I just hope Criterion just releases every Studio Canal title they can before they lose the rights if that is a variable. Even if a release window is small.

They did that with the DVD release of Straw Dogs, yet it was in stores long time after.
I think I read somewhere that Army of Shadows has a similar deal as Last Year at Marienbad. Which that both Criterion and Studio Canal bought distribution rights to the movies, from their respected rights holders, independently of each other. That being said unless something unforeseen happens, both titles should will be in the collection for a while.

Adults loved to say things like that but kids knew better. We knew darn well it was always better not to get caught.

Today is Friday, it is the end of the week. Announcements are coming today.

I think he is referring to the fact that Criterion tweeted about this earlier this week.

I am guessing it won't be a trend. They probably only did it now because of the timing with Army of Shadows.

No, I think he was referring to the fact that CC touted Le cercle rouge earlier this week...right before today's announcememnts.

I wonder if that COVER ART posting that could cause is stir is something in the effect that Criterion had to go with another style for say... Fear and Loathing and it will be completly different? If that is the case I still have my DVD style release it is MINT. Even if the style and art is the same I will probably hang onto my DVD copy also.

I did the same so far with Videodrome. It is to cool to sell off.

Maybe the packaging will be controversial, maybe the clear cases are out.
That will blow some peoples minds...

Maybe it'll be another month of releases like normal..... I mean.... has there been a month with cover-art that didn't cause a stir?

Maybe they're being facetious

While we wait. I realized that every month we try to remember which titles have been hinted at, so made a partial compilation over in this thread.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-mo...es-rumors.html

I hope to build on it in the future.

Good idea, but that page should probably just be integrated into the first page of this thread.

I saw that.... Wanted to move it to the first page of this thread, but wanted you to be able to edit/update it, so I don't know what to do with it at this point..... Perhaps something will come to me.... I don't know if it could be stickied in the wish-list forum, because it doesn't apply.... and we have too many stickies in this forum already.... We'll see how it develops, and go from there I guess.... but I like the idea.

EDIT:

CC beat me to it.... with a lot less 'blah blah blah' too

Everyone cared, but the difference is Kobe wasn't convicted. Polanski drugged and raped a 13 year old. There isn't an apology in the world that could let that go.

If people want to buy his movies, that's fine. However to somehow justify it, by lessening what he did is nonsense.

That was my thought as well. But I don't have the ability to put it there or update it. I have no ego about handing it over to someone who would be willing to update it however.

I guess I could.... Hopefully whbinder (and the rest of you) don't mind if I get lazy with the formatting at some point! I'll cut-n-paste into the first page, clean up some posts there, and give credit where credit is due.... (me of course )

EDIT:

anything to pass the time while I constantly refresh Criterion's "Coming Soon" page

And you can't deny Tiger is one of the world's greatest golfers, yet committing adultery on numerous accounts is down right disgusting. And they think homosexuals are destroying the sanctity of marriage...(I could go on and on about this). I greatly enjoy Polanski films, and will regardless of what he has done. But there IS a big difference in liking the man, and liking the mans work. I even enjoyed the Ghost Writer quite a bit.

WHAT? We would get a foot of snow and still have school the next morning. You guys are .

And I never did pick up Universal's Fear and Loathing, so having a CC version will be amazing!
Since Universal released their version less than a year ago...and Criterion has the rights to release their version so soon...does this mean Criterion COULD POSSIBLY still release Fantasic Mr. Fox? (not that I'm interested, just a curiosity)

I'll +1 your +1, and I'll also +1 your shot productivity statement. Please, Criterion's. Be announced soon so I can go back to Youtube and stop refreshing your page.
