Probably. I've already seen Roman Holiday and Sabrina in the series and plan on going 7 for 7.

I've seen all the films in the series already but it's Audrey Hepburn on the big screen.

Default The Double Life of Veronique

Hey,

what do you think about stereo being the only sound option on Criterion's "The Double Life of Veronique" BD?

Was the film originaly recorded in stereo? Is the 5.1 mix a good one?

Has anyone received The Naked Kiss and/or Shock Corridor from B&N? I just received The Thin Red Line but not my two Fuller films. I ordered all of them together and I was just wondering what’s the hold up?

Both of my Fuller blu-rays didn't ship from B&N until the 20th, but they both arrived today.

I envy you! I saw Black Narcissus first and immediately liked it. That's why I gave The Red Shoes a chance. The fact that it looks spectactular on BD was just icing on the cake.

DVDbeaver states that the original was mono. I don't have the CC version yet, but the AE 5.1 sounds gorgeous.

I guess I'm the only one that got them delayed, oh well I got a bunch of other films to watch in the mean time.

My naked kiss and shock corridor shipped today but only because broadcast news was also in the same order which didn't release until today. BN has been decent my last few orders as far as shipping which wasn't the case during the 50% sale. Amazon spoils us all!

I would like a nice blu-ray transfer of Amelie. I'm not really liking the thought of placing an order to buy the Australian blu-ray of Amelie for almost $40.

When are we going to get the Criterion Collecton of Time Bandits? It was on Criterion on DVD at one point. All my favorite movies should be Criterion Collection. I like the boxes they put their blu-rays in. Wish all movies were boxed in those nice clear boxes with one disc with everything on it. At least the Cirterion movies I have are that way. Others may have more discs.

There is a blu-ray re-release from Canada. Supposed to have righted the wrongs of the earlier Canada release. This one here. (Avoid this one.) Dunno how it stacks up to the Australian release, but could be a pretty decent, more reasonably priced substitute.
