I only do it with the Director Approved sticker and signature.
And I don't put it on the front, I put it on the inside behind the booklet, just to save. Don't really know why.

I have a Panasonic plasma too and it's great

It is one of those, and that's the reason I was considering doing it. Guess this'll be my criteria as well. Generic stickers go, director stickers stay.

and depending on what size screen you want, you could get a great set for under $800.

i'd stay away from Phillips though. nothing but short life spans in the LCD's i've had from them.
Thanks bro. Will look into the Sony Bravia.

Thanks. As much as I watch films, somedays I just have ESPN (don't know why they are just as bad as every other news and hate on my fav teams, Kentucky Wildcats and Oakland Raiders) on all day.
I have an LCD right now due to not being a fan of the glass screen, and also the fact I don't know too much about the tech of T.V.s. But I can recommend obscure films.

I will look into this since 2 of you have it. Like I said I have an LCD now, so might switch up. Thanks alot.

Plasma is slightly more high maintenance that LCD, make sure you are kosher with how to treat a plasma right. I would also second what people have said about not paying extra for the horrible motion smoothing, 240hz flow monstrosities that are all the rage nowadays.

My best advice about buying tvs is to look at last years models as they are being replaced with the new shiny, which starts around March. You can get some really nice deals that way. Good luck!

That is hilarious! And what awesome artwork (at least what I can see) for The Ice Storm.

Also, I don't bother keeping any of those stickers.

I put my stickers under the tab that holds the booklet, but on top of the booklet.

I would personally go with a plasma over an LCD. I think you get truer colors and better blacks with a plasma, hence, if you are viewing films, it will enhance your experience. I'm sure the LCD crowd will now defecate on me.

Unless you want and can afford an LED TV...though I have no experience with them.

I own a Pioneer plasma and am quite happy with it.

One thing to keep in mind is where you are going to be using it. If there are a lot of windows or lights, you might want a LCD, which should show fewer reflections. If the room is dark, plasma would probably be better.

I've had a modest 32'' Bravia for a few years and it's served me well. Highly Recommended.

Yes...I agree with this logic as well.

BTW...I also own a Panasonic plasma, as it was my first plasma TV and is still used quite extensively in my bedroom. In a lot of ways, I think it does TV (DirecTV) better than my Elite, but the Elite is superior with blu-ray films.

If you go with an LCD...I would agree with the choice of a Sony Bravia.

I know Top 100 or Top 1000 lists aren't everything (and usually flawed) but I was browsing the They Shoot Pictures top 1000 and noticed Close-Up slotted at #218. Glad to see this terrific film getting recognition.

Here's the link if you're curious:

I just got an email from the third party seller I ordered pierriot le fou from on barnes and noble that it shipped out. Since I was able to use my 2 groupons to bring the price down to 0 it only cost me out of pocket 20 dollars. The only bad thing is it's coming dhl to usps but for price I can't complain one bit.

Rich, I knew we were a lot alike. I still have my 720p Panny in the bedroom and my Elite in the viewing room. Thankfully, I still think you have 10 years on me.

Thought I was the only one that kept the stickers. I actually put them on the the cover artwork itself in case I have to replace a case. No matter what you keep, enjoy the films.
