While I do pay a lot for my import titles, I feel that Criterions are worth their money. Ironically, I have not spent more then $25 on a Criterion in a loooong time. While I do feel that some of my Criterions are vastly better then some of the imports I have spent a lot of money on, I still find it hard to spend more then $25 on a Criterion because I know they all can be had for that price through sales and coupons.

It's clear Criterion hates their customers, but it's not due to their price points. It's because they have yet to release all of the movies in my signature.

Just bought and watched For All Mankind. What a stunning masterpiece this documentary is. I still have that eerie lunar landscape stuck in my mind. And to think the astronauts called it home for a little while was really moving on a human level. From the first Apollo launch sequence to the famous words on the moon to the inevitable voyage home this Criterion was a winner on all fronts. The picture really makes you proud of humanity and thats a good thing.

Granted, this month isn't nearly as "broad" as last month. May's releases are "broad" and should satisfy many. Unless you're thinking of some other "broads".

I'm completely baffled by that guys post. I've never resorted to name calling on this site, but there are a few words that come to my mind with this dude.

It's a complete slap in the face to say you will never give criterion your money directly. You don't even.deserve to have any of their titles in your collection with stupid comments like that. Oh...but your a kurosawa fan, makes sense.

Funny thing is, you say you will never give criterion your money because of the price...you do realize the only places that sell them at retail price is Barnes n noble, borders, etc. And that money doesn't go directly to criterion. If you buy from their website, its $31.96 or something, plus promo codes often, as well as $50 gift cards for every 500 spent. You mention single disc dvds, those have been reduced to 21.96 if you would look at a release in the past 6 months. And dude, this is a boy ray forum, why mention prices of a dvd? So get outta here with your ignorant posts.

For whatever reason, Amazon has given this delay for all of the remaining March titles, including the Naruse Eclipse set.

I'm just glad I pre-ordered everything except Topsy Turvy from Criterion, at a ridiculously low price..... It's better than any B&N sale.... it's like Christmas came early except I'm actually getting something rather than spending a bunch of money out of obligation

Even better, Criterion could release every title from the Siodmak's in one big set

Criterion.

I will buy Pale Flower and Solaris upgrade though (and still haven't bought the Dearden Eclipse.) Those are the only 3 I actually want so far.
