438 requests logged.

Perhaps when the report comes out one of the top men around here can get this in Criterion's hands? Or maybe I can just email it to them

Ah, I see! I'll have to come up with 9 more classics then, I guess!

That would be cool if Criterion really reads through this thread and takes the posted requests.

Excellent choices.

I'll probably catch hell for it, but the popularity of Andrei Rublev puzzles me.

I DVR'd it. It was rated only 3 stars, but like you I'm a Seberg fan. Right before I went to bed I watched the first 5 minutes just so I could see how hot she is in it. I was not disappointed.

Me too. It's probably the main reason I own Breathless (and go out of my way to watch Roman Holiday whenever it's on).

Andrei Rublev was really hard for me to get into, I can't say I hated it, but I can't say I liked it yet if it gets a HD release I would buy it. However I would prefer Ivan's Childhood.

Has anyone that ordered the DVDs yesterday had them ship? Naked Lunch and Children of Paradise are still listed as Shipping Soon for me.

I think it came down to their original distribution deals for those titles. (not including the eclipse sets) I think had they had the choice they would have - although it was early days?

I still think we will see some of them upgraded over time. (I hope)

I don't have ten, but here is what I would love to see in the blu Collection:

Blue Velvet
Mulholland Drive
City of God
There Will Be Blood
The Barbarian Invasions
Synecdoche, New York
Zodiac
25th Hour
Pulp Fiction
Jackie Brown

Please don't flame me for having almost all newer films. All of these would be amazing in Criterion editions!

Give me something different instead of There Will be Blood and Zodiac. Both those are on blu and not likely to be licensed out of their studios.

Let the haters hate..... I like most of those films....

I would say however.... that There Will Be Blood, and Zodiac (I believe... haven't seen this one) and Synecdoche NY have have solid releases... so I would rather see Criterion "rescue" something, than simply improve on something that really doesn't need any improvement and basically just deliver more supplementals

Side note... It looks like "The Third Man" has hit 'unobtainable' pricing for me on Amazon and Half.com/Ebay...... I wanted to give a copy to a friend and still have an "Extra" just to see where it ends up (price wise) but there is no way I'm paying the current going rates.

18 new starting at $100 on Amazon, 1 used @ $150+

Half.com starting at $90

Ebay is consistently selling between $90 and $100

Either way, I'm giving my friend a copy... he better not sell it!

Looks like this has been going on for pages, so I feel a bit like a johnny-come-lately, but I'll give it the ol' heave-ho! effort.

Can you get replacement booklets for releases. I emailed Mulvaney and have gotten no response. Is there a way to get them like getting replacement packaging?
