Googled for other possible meanings, and found this on a Criterion forum.....

Come on, people. It's clearly Blue's Clues: The First Eight-and-a-Half Seasons.
Had me laughing at this one

But the best explanation of course, is 8 1/2 Blue Dogs For the 8 1/2 BD release...

The snarky guesses are the best though

I think the film is perfect the way it is.

Does this mean we can expect 8 1/2 Blu-ray for January 2010?

I loved the film but I felt a lot was missing. I was hoping for more Benjamin Button solo scenes when he's in Brad Pitt form and like I said it was missing that 7th lightning bolt scene. The movie feels its missing something and I think it deserves the best release it can get because it's one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have seen.

Question for you.....

How do you know there IS a 7th lightning bolt scene? I know it's talked about in the film, but how do you know one was actually filmed? It may just be the director's intent to include the ones he did..... if the film were to cover every subtle nuance, it would include an extra hour just so you knew how he decided to where what pair of socks each day.......

Let your imagination fill in the blanks.

Eric Roth was surprised that the 7th lightning bolt scene didn't make it. He mentioned it during the interview.

Did you receive Le Mepris yet? I got mine yesterday from Amazon UK, along with Elephant Man.I dont even mind the packaging, except the titles are upside down on the spine compared to every other blu I have. Instead of reading down, they read up.

Just got The Third Man blu-ray from Amazon today, and it came in the clear plastic case, not the digipack. Not sure if or when they'll offer the cases as replacements by themselves, but apparently they're already phasing out the digipacks.

I hope there isn't a hefty price attached to the replacements, because I have all of the original releases

I think they have already said that they are not going to replace them until the inventory of the digi ones runs out, like the Third Man did. So Third Man is probably the only one you can buy on Amazon that has the new cases. Now as for just buying the new cases alone, we will have to wait still to hear from them on that. I don't want to buy everything over again.
