Ah, the great "Chungking Express must be OOP if Amazon doesn't have it" frenzy. Oh, memories...

lol

By the way, I got a shipment notice for my copy of White Material from Borders. It says it should be here by the 8th...tomorrow. That would be the earliest I've ever received a CC before release date!

I look forward to the day when I receive a Criterion, or a movie in general, early.

Last time I checked, Amazon still had the old cover up.

CC, you said you received an order of the blank Scanavo cases from Criterion. Did you order the 6 pack for $12? Was the shipping the typical $5 or so?

ahhh that's right. Thanks.

I was too lazy to google for someone who didn't just hot-link straight from Criterion

No, I had just ordered two of the replacement cases for another person, which cost $10 + $5.95 shipping. So, I imagine if you order the 5-pack for $12.00, you'll be paying $5.95 for standard shipping... any order under $50. I didn't realize until your post, though, that Criterion was now offering the cases as stand-alones.

Yeah, that is why I was inquiring. I thought that was what you ordered. I wonder if they would tack them on to my pre-orders I have with them to save on the shipping? Or maybe, since they gave me that 50% off the $32 price in those orders, I should probably keep my trap shut....

As much as I want to get this, I've got to save a number of things for the "sale". I might even cancel preorder of Fear and Loathing to save a few bucks until then. Will likely get Chungking Express as well.

My wife is fluent in Cantonese, so that is practically a required purchase.
