Actually I watch them, but sometimes a few get behind the list. These are being added to the ones that are still behind...

Re: fulfillment by Amazon sellers. Absolutely anyone can become a fulfillment by Amazon seller and the seller is responsible for the accurate listing of their items (the only difference being Amazon handles the packing/shipping and customer service). A seller being a fulfillment by Amazon seller means nothing in terms of being any more/less legit than any random third party seller outside any inherent odds that a smaller seller intent on scamming would obviously be less likely to go that route.

But, there are a number of fulfillment by Amazon sellers, same as non-fulfillment sellers, that don't bother with accurate condition ratings and descriptions and one never knows the various sources they may use to get their stock. Either way, buyers are always protected if they don't receive the item as listed so you should either get what you pay for or a refund if it isn't.
Thanks for the info. Since Amazon seems to be deemed as a safe place to buy from, I ordered up what I could.

Orphic Trilogy
Grand Illusion
Peeping Tom
Alphaville
Tales of Hoffman
Coup De Torchon
Forbidden Games
Trafic
America lost and found (BBS box set) on BD
The Small Back Room
Pygmalion
The Milky Way

These were all being sold directly by Amazon llc. and are new/sealed. Sure, it cost a bit more to buy that way but in the long run it's worth it for peace of mind, knowing I have legit copies.

It seems that Criterion doesn't take it too personally when you order their products from Amazon, and not directly from them..... on their page they have a Facebook-tweet thingy advertising the sale price on Amazon for the BBS set.....

I wish they would offer their titles at the same prices Amazon does.... I'd pay extra for shipping to get them directly from Criterion if that were the case.

I don't blame you. Safe move. Don't forget about "Flamenco Trilogy," unless you have it already.

Yeah, anything from his "American Dreamer"/"Last Movie" days I try to get (spent about $40 a few months ago on 3 The Last Movie press kit photos and framed them.). I figured since that film had a very quick and limited release, you prob can't find press kits of it anywhere, so I had to go in on it.

The Cassavetes one looks cool, but I don't know if that price is cool for me.

I know that, of all things, the first "Berlin Alexanderplatz" I bought was a bootleg. An incredibly good job, too. They went to such great lengths getting everythig right, even the parts where the art is shiny-er, but where the spine number should be, it said 7 disc DVD set. Tsk Tsk... Every disc had the same art on it too, which thanks to the criterionforum's packaging photos, I realized was a flub too.

Also, The criterion wikipedia page mentions the Asian bootleg trade of criterions being quite vast. I mean, if they are gonna make "Berlin...", why not make em all?

I don't suppose there's any way for us to suggest a film to Criterion, is there?

For instance they released some nice Hitchcock DVDs about 6 years ago. I'd like to see some of those titles (and even a few of the many owned by Universal) go to blu-ray....

Same mediocre source as the Universal release with only perhaps some extremely minor tweaks. What a waste of a release in my opinion.

And since it's been vastly improved upon, according to the review, what's you're gripe now? Some people just love to *****. It's getting embarrassing and honestly ridiculous... maybe u should stop buying blu-rays altogether.
