![]() I wouldn't mind getting the rental to see the film in HD and catch the supplements...but will go the streaming route this weekend if I don't get it next in my queue. |

Since no one else on the site wouldn't prob care about the news I'll post it here. Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master" (once pushed to the side) seems to be coming now, with Joaquin Phoenix maybe along side Philip Seymour Hoffman. Finally my next theater visit (I take that back. Will see Zombie's Lords of Salem, seems like that will come first).

And since Inherent Vice (the project with Robert Downjey Jr.) seems to come along as well, we might get two Paul Thomas Anderson movies in a very short time frame
![]() But yeah, Philip Seymour Hoffman in anything is already great, so him teaming up again with PTA seems a logical choice, and makes me wnat to see the movie even more. |

Apologies for the laziness, but this thread is 1450 some pages long, any word on a Life Aquatic release on Blu? I would kill for that.
I'm really trying to decide if I should suck it up and pay 40 bucks for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas when it comes out next week. I love, love, love the movie, but I will admit I was a bit spoiled when Criterion released the BBS Box set back in November at such a cheap price (average cost of a film in that set was about 17 dollars, since I paid 115 for it), and now wish all of the Criterion releases were as cheap. I know the price is worth it, but at the same time, Criterion releases are always higher in Canada, and don't drop in price point like the American ones do. Spartacus is still over 70 dollars on DVD up here, while it's about 44 bucks at B&N. |

I'll be happy to get my copy of Kes next week and coast to the end of April. ![]() Had car problems on the way in to work today (thinking it's wires/dist. cap...it's been rainy here), so that will be more cash out of pocket by the day's end. ![]() To finish on a Criterion note...I streamed Forbidden Games last night. My wife joined me and we both enjoyed it...very sad...that little girl gave quite a performance! |

Predictions for tomorrow announcements:
L'aventura Twelve angry men Andrei Rublev Out of these three, the only one I've watched was Twelve angry men. I am guessing these because of the hints they've been leaving here and there. But that's just a wild guess. Now for the ones I really wish they announce: Children of Paradise The umbrellas of Cherbourg Dogville Happiness (to coincide with Life during wartime, when it does come out) Beauty and the Beast The Bride wore Black (and/or anything from Truffaut) Persona Brief encounter The Passion of Joan of Arc (it would be nice to have a silent movie released) Fanny and Alexander (my favorite Bergman, of the ones I've watched) Nights of Cabiria The list goes on and on, but these are the ones that just popped up. I thought about ordering it from B&N where the loonie's so high right now, but the shipping makes the cost the same as Amazon.ca's price. It's still not as ridiculous as what Criterion charges us Canucks for shipping though. The film's well over 50 some dollars once shipping and taxes are included. ![]() |

Who owns the rights to Emir Kusturica's Underground?
I saw that once in the cinema in the 90s and loved it. I never got it on DVD, because I believe there were only mediocre editions available. I would love to see a Criterion edition. |

So their bit on the face books could be related to the Current which often doesn't hint at potential releases. ...or it could mean Bicycle Thieves tomorrow (I can only hope). Last edited by ShellOilJunior; 04-14-2011 at 06:21 PM. |
