Go to Naked's page...it has a new cover and BD specs...it was one of the 2 that ccfixx posted this morning in spoiler form. Looks interesting, though.

It's in the July announcement on the main page, right between Beauty and the Beast and High and Low.

WTF is with the new Naked cover? The old one is so much better and more fitting to the film. Still going to upgrade though.

Check out Charade - It's a fun comedy thriller. There are scenes of death but none are graphic and the language is kept liberal. I thoroughly enjoyed this, it was very entertaining and had a few hitchcock-esque twists in it.

Wings of Desire I highly recommend, Its one of my favorites. Its a beautiful film and really does make you appreciate things afterwards. I am always in a much better mood after watching it.

Jacques Tati's PLAY TIME, Chaplin's MODERN TIMES, John Ford's STAGECOACH, Louis Malle's AU REVOIR LES EFANTS or perhaps James Ivory's HOWARDS END.

Yes, give me Naked and More Kurosawa. I love High and Low. Naked was one of my top ten blu's I was waiting for as well as High and Low. Perfecto. Can't wait.

3 upgrades and 3 new to the collection titles.
that's the kind of month I think I like the best.
nice to finally get another true old school classic with the Cocteau release.
far too few of those type announcements from the current "new-school" Criterion imo.

Well I am glad we are getting another Kurosawa. I love his samurai films, but it is nice they are giving us something else, and High & Low is a great film. It has a lot of beautiful shots towards the end that should look great on Blu.

Then you might want to stick with cartoons/kids movies. I'd recommend Marmaduke and The Pink Panther.

2-3 for me is a good month IMO. The Music Room and upgrading Beauty and the Beast for sure. Might get Leon Morin.
