So if Barnes and Nobles gets bought will we lose our precious Criterion Sale or will we end up staying up all night watching the Criterion Bluray Home shopping network

Thats a given in my eyes. It was remastered and given a UK DVD-release and a french Blu-ray release. Its only a matter of time.

Just ordered Solaris for $23.82 via the 50% off Borders coupon (shipping and tax included).

Not too shabby

Here's the code if anyone wants to partake in the sweet nectar:

Is Solaris worth a blind buy?

Well, technically mine's a blind buy...though I did see the Soderberg/Clooney rendition and enjoyed that. I only expect the original to be better.

So I guess that's a yes, from a fellow blind buyer

You might want to wait for the B&N sale that has been confirmed to be happening soon.... or, as the poster below mentions, you might want to be prepared today!!!

I say yes

It feels great to purchase a film you end up loving, or even liking for that matter. I only do it with Criterion films as I feel rather "safe" in doing so.

They are waiting till they get to 40000 followers. They were at 39800 a few minutes ago, so this should happen soon.

according to a few posts, looks like it will only be a Malick title sale @ 50% off. So possibly wishful thinking is out...

Not a bad sale for those who don't own those already.

This is probably a good thing. I've bought so many titles recently my wallet is crying out in pain. Even at 50% off it only brings these down to 19.99

So apparently Criterion has signed a licensing deal with Miramax. Can someone go to netflix.com and post the story here? I can't access from work. Thx

Bummer, I already bought both of those this past week for around that price. Guess I'll just wait for the B&N sale.
