*** sidenote The new Plastic cases are the thickness of a standard DVD case** I think you had a comment about the BD case size needing a slipcover.
Thickness I don't mind but it's not DVD height is it and I would like a slipcover on any case regardless. I feel the case is naked if it doesn't have a slip on.

Am I the only one that would love to see Terrence Malick's beautifully shot "Days of Heaven" on Criterian blu? It has a Criterian dvd release....

How can it be alleged when it exists? I have one.

Even Criterion admits their digipack packaging was less than stellar:

From Facebook
"We love digipaks too, especially for Marienbad, with its blind embossing, but for what it's worth we never intended to use digis exclusively. We had always planned to introduce the custom plastic case and we were going to mix it up as we do on DVD. Unfortunately, the digis and o-rings didn't hold their shape well, and we weren't happy with how they looked on the shelf. It's not so much a matter of public opinion as our own impressions, and gradually, like Brian, we've come to appreciate the uniformity. At least for now."

I know I'm gonna feel some hate for this, but I never really minded the digi's nor do I see what the big deal is about getting replacements.
Granted when I finshed building my custom media shelves (pics coming soon) I may have a different opinion.

Go over to the DVDTalk forums if you need to see what "The Third Man" clear case looks like. A user over there posted an image when his arrived in the mail last week.

Nevermind, here's the link to the post. I know how difficult it is these days for people to seek things out on the internet.

The Criterion plastic blu-ray cases are the same height and width of a standard blu-ray case, but Criterion's are as thick as a Playstation 3 game case.

Well, not you in particular, zedd. Just trying to get people to start thinking for themselves, again. It's tough, I know, in this day and age of instant gratification.

Unfortunatly I have yet to experience "instant gratification" but I have heard the stories that it exists.

Oh and it's sooo much easier just to be a follower than to have your own ideas.

Quick Question about the replacement cases to clear some things up:

Is Third Man Blu-ray the only replacement case available right now?

Do we know when the other replacement cases will be available?

Do the replacement cases come with cover artwork & booklets?

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers these 3 questions!!!
