If this isn't Three Colors Trilogy then I give up trying to guess. At this point all I can do is anticipate.

But Rohmer had some MGM films picked up

And yeah, the hint was boring. Literally everyone knew the trilogy was coming. I was thinking it would be something big like Andrei Rublev/Stalker or Badlands or at least something not hinted at already. Bleh.

I imagine some of those have to be negotiable. I don't see MGM (or Fox) readying anything from Allen, Wilder, Truffaut or Bergman, for example. It's a crime if these directors' films don't hit blu because the rights weren't part of the deal.

Someone has to pick up the ball.

Just finished watching Bigger Than Life, BEST BLIND BUY EVAR! Seriously, I loved it. James Mason was incredible, it's one of the best roles I've seen him in. Barbara Rush was fantastic too. I liked RWAC, but Nicholas Ray totally topped that with this film. I didn't find it too preachy, and was slightly let down by the last minute, but the rest of the film more than made up for it. Highly recommend it.

I thought the same thing when I blind-bought it, and since then it's become one of my favorite owned Criterions. I especially like when Walter recklessly tackles James Mason over the couch.

Bigger than Life is one of my favorite Criterion Blu's also. Ray got the feel of 1950's suburbia perfect while refusing to comply with the "Leave it to Beaver" faux reality of post WW II America.

Speaking of Mason, will we ever see Odd Man Out get the Criterion touch? The film has been rumored for some time now.

PS Thanks for the info Joe D.

It's the Three Collars Trilogy.

(Saw the first one and thought "Oh, they're continuing their Paul Schrader line and doing 'Blue Collar', with Richard Pryor and Harvey Keitel!"....But no.)

Anybody that remembers Criterion facebook posts, a couple months ago, they teased
[Show spoiler]3 Women
. Either way, it's an upgrade.

With the release of Kiss Me Deadly next week, I am hoping we get more Robert Aldrich films released by Criterion. High on my wish list for blu would be Ulzana's Raid. One of the greatest westerns ever made, in my opinion. Burt Lancaster gives a superb late career performance as a grizzled scout helping the army hunt down an Apache war chief who has left the reservation with a handul of warriors. I really hope Criterion has it on their radar. I have it on an early DVD release of poor quality by a company called Good Times.

Predictions or is there a source? Don't see them on Criterion Cast's twitter.
