I liked the PTA meeting, I must have a sick sense of humour, or reacted simply out of shock, because I was alternating between laughing and calling James Mason a major ******* when he gace his "lecture." It's right up there with Head, Five Easy Pieces, The Leopard, Fear and Loathing, Charade, and The King of Marvin Gardens, for my favourites of favourite Criterion releases.

Nicholas Ray is a genius, I still can't figure him out completely, but there is a certain elegance about his Movies, an almost perfect sense of image composition. Just look at the screenshots posted on Blu-ray.com, there is perfect sense how to split up backgrounds, also he knows how people must stand in a room to get the maximum effect. I mean, this are maybe Noir techniques but, he knew how to transfer those into widescreen color Movies.

His films are a treat to look at, and the plots are always engaging. He's also so diverse: They Live By Night, Bigger Than Life, Rebel Without a Cause, King of Kings, 55 Days at Peking, The Lusty Men, and Flying Leathernecks, he has a film in almost every genre, and I haven't even listed them all. I don't understand why everyone claims RWAC is his only decent work, and best known.

You said it best dude...those who follow Criterion Twitter...not everyone does, nor does everyone come on CC BD discussion boards, so to quite a few, I would imagine that clue was a first time notification of the Colors Trilogy. We are spoiled and know more than most

One of the greatest westerns ever made, in my opinion. I try not to pay attention to spoilers for Criterion announcements, but it would be cool if Don't Look Now was to be released by them. I would imagine this is a title they would have loved to release thru Paramount. I would also love to see BAD TIMING released in HD. There were a few HD clips mixed in with interviews on INSIGNIFICANCE and it just made me want Bad Timing even more so on blu.

Yea, too bad. I waved my hand in front of the screen and spoke the words, "They will believe me..."

Perhaps I should have used the more personal "you" instead of the collective "they."

So, where are these trailers on twitter? I haven't seen a post since 9 hours ago...for the WB Archive title review.
