Hey, Beta... I just noticed that January's pre-orders over at Amazon have already dropped by $1 each, so life gets even better.

Cool. It never hurts to ask, ya know... especially with Criterion. Their customer service is usually pretty darn good. It might take a day or two for a reply, but maybe you'll find something out before sending it back, even though you did get the shaft on that eBay deal.

I plan to pick up the remainder of the Criterion blu-rays I don't have, during the B&N sale. Does anyone know if the sale is running long enough to include Gomorrah?

I'm not sure. Amazon included it, last time, but only on releases that came out during the active sale.

preordered Repulsion last criterion sale in combination with a visa discount plus the 50% off I got a really low price on that one.

And I picked up some sd DVDs that were going out of print, Ran and Contempt and checkout guy was great enough to scan a bunch of coupons even though I was a non member.

Gonna go stalk this guy again hope he still works there. Way to go b&n criterion sale. Wooooo!!! I can pick up wing of desire and let's see if I can preorder some.

Just wanna make it clear that I did Pre order Repulsion last Criterion sale on B&N online. Only a few Pre orders, I remember were included in sale. I don't know why Repulsion was included but it was - let's hope they give that option again.

I fully trust the Pre-order price guarantee....... seems silly that a few months ago I would check prices non-stop, thinking they wouldn't notify me of a quick price-drop, then increase an hour later......

Now I just pre-order, and wait for packages to arrive!

You were able to do that because Repulsion was released before the last sale ended. No Criterion Blu-Rays are being released during the upcoming sale.

Benny Buttons is READILY available used for dirt cheap...... and not that expensive new.......

I doubt you'll find B&N to be the best price you can get this particular Criterion title at......... others perhaps.... but not this one....

I don't buy used dvds and meh you need to get the membership. Forget that. I'm just waiting for Ben Button to be 13 or less.

For about the millionth time, the membership is refundable. I can see how it wouldn't be worth your while if you only want to buy 1 movie, but if you're going to be buying 2 or 3 or more then the savings you get with a membership are enormous, and there's pretty much no good reason why you shouldn't get one and then just have it refunded when the sale is over if you decide you don't want to keep it
