From Criterion's twitter:

Our November slate will be announced in a week... Here's a hint: http://www.facebook.com/common/browser.php

Not sure what's up with the link. I guess they just want you to use Facebook.

Good news, man. Yeah. I had a bad experience with ordering from Barnes once, as well. I only buy in-store from them, from now on, during these sales. Hope your dispute thing gets settled, and I hope you eventually get Pale Flower too. It's such a good release.

I'll give you the rundown:

1- I order two Blus from them, total 46$.
2- They ship me only one Blu, plus a book I never ordered.
3- I contact them to get a replacement.
4- They answer that they can't send me one, but they'll refund 23$ and will "gladly place another order for the same item" - at full price.
5- I tell them what I think of them, and that I have received no refund yet in my account.
6- They answer back that they confirm a refund... of 20$.
7- I ask them why the f*** they're refunding me 20$ when they just told me 23$ in their last mail, and when the item I haven't got is worth more anyway.
8- They never answer. I open a claim.

Sheesh. I heard about you getting a book in your order. Haha, ummmm, are they serious? Yeah, they're online service is just terrible. At least you got one Blu out of this whole ordeal.

Yes, but it's gonna cost me 26$ if they have their way. Not a particularly good deal.

Not really, no. Then again, a regular priced Criterion from Barnes is $36, at least. So, you did get $10 off it technically. Although it still is pretty shitty. At least you learned never to order from them again.

But who decides what's "overrated" and what not. After all this whole matter is hugely subjective...
I tend to dislike the term "overrated", mostly because people tend to use it as a synonym for "lousy". Rather like people tend to use the term "mediocre" to mean "poor" rather than "average".

I know people who don't understand me when I say that I think a film is good, but I don't like it. They think that's a contradiction. A lot of the same people, though, don't seem to have a problem with the concept of enjoying a bad film. But there are a number of films that I admire in all sorts of ways, but I don't enjoy for one reason or another. The Red Shoes is an example, because, quite frankly, ballet bores the crap out of me. So I admire Powell and Pressburger's talent in making the film, but I don't particularly enjoy watching it.

For example: I didn't completely "get" the 4 or so Antonionis I saw. I realized that there was something about the films which I admired, but I also realized that there was something that remained hidden from me.
Now that was some years ago when I was still in my mid-teens and I'm actually looking forward to seeing them again now, even though I was bored the first time i saw L'Avventura.
It's always a good idea to revisit films that you dismissed in the past, especially if it's something that you (for whatever reason) think you should like, but didn't. With me, in some cases, I chalk it up to "Bad Day Syndrome", i.e. I just wasn't in the proper mood to appreciate it the first time, and I might be more receptive to it later.

In other cases, it's just a matter of changing tastes. For a long time, I dismissed Ingmar Bergman films because of two or three that I saw as a teenager that I didn't "get". Two decades later, in my days of collecting Criterion LDs, I tried Smiles of a Summer Night and The Seventh Seal and absolutely loved them.

Looks like a scene from Kieslowski's Blue. It would be a terrible cover if it's used.

Yeah, it's the part with the bungee jumping and other scene (was it tight-rope walking or something else... I can't remember) which was played over and over on the T.V. in the nursing home.

EDIT:

given the fact that the Criterion spine etc. in the corner is so low, that's probably about 1/3 of the cover..... There is slack in the line, so likely it's the picture of the guy jumping (or springing back up)
