I'm really excited for the Three Colors Trilogy, but that hint doesn't look like we'll be getting very good cover art. Hope I'm wrong.
I got my email from DD as well. Hopefully it doesn't take that long to get here.

Maybe they'll release "Spider Baby" and you'll have to change your name to "Carry On Screaming!" or perhaps "Private Parts"

ha, yeah right.

I wouldn't want them to release it because Dark Sky Films has already released it.

Ordered High & Low during the recent sale. Received Beauty & The Beast.

WTF B&N? I like the prices but man what crappy service.
Good luck getting a replacement...

Not only that, but the degree to which you disliked the film (repulsed) has to be corrected too.

Come on, guys...less pretension and more respect. These films are not everyone's cup of tea. Then you have someone take a crack at another film (The Human Centipede) without even having seen it! Yet you have a strong opinion on why Wilky should like Amarcord, which he did see. Doesn't make sense.

Whatever dude. Might want to read you own posts regarding elevated levels of pretention and lack of respect.

It would be a shame if that image is the cover for Blue, I would hope that, instead, they'd go with the iconic images of the ladies' faces, especially Binoche... (no, that's not wrong, she does make my banana dance).

Review up for Leon Morin, Priest.

I was impressed with this film, the two leads give outstanding performances.

Oh, no, no, Criterion CARES about covers!
They're not going to confuse the audience with some too arcanely idiosyncratic context-free image that only has significance to those who've seen the movie already!

I could see them using the faces on the outside of the boxset, and then this image as one of the individual covers...but who knows. I guess we will find out soon

Finally got around to watching Days Of Heaven (commentary only because the narration is irritating as sandpaper). Good execution, but I really felt they should have tried to restore the original dialogue. I believe it would make the film better than just visually appealing.

To be fair, I think the Night of the Hunter box problem was a more widespread issue. I know my first copy looked kinda beat up.

Sometimes it might just be Criterion's manufacturing. When I got Army of Shadows, the inside booklet looked like someone had cut it up. I got a replacement booklet from Criterion directly and while all in one piece, the problem was still there if you looked for it.

I also ordered Pierrot Le Fou directly from Criterion and it was manufactured upside down! The BD disc wasn't in the hub and was where the booklet should have been and the booklet where the disc should have been. Luckily the disc was not damaged.

Anyone getting The Battle of Algiers today?

I think everyone will be very pleased. The DVD version is one of the best packages Criterion has ever done.

On a side note: I cannot wait for Facebooks to go under. I wish Criterion wouldn't put so many hints on that site. How about throwing blu-ray.com a bone once in a while (or perhaps another Amazon poll)?

I agree. I'm trying to switch to Google+, which will end up being just as bad. :P
At least with Twitter & Tumblr, you don't need an account unless they lock it down.

Whatever happened to using one's own web site for such hints?

That too. But most people are too lazy and ignorant to view a website, and only use social networking sites.

The difference is that Facebook is the second most used website in the world (after Google) so there is a much greater audience for these things on Facebook.
