Fair enough I suppose.

Got around to watching Army of Shadows last night. This is such a fantastic film that really allows the viewer to feel the tension of the scenarios the characters are placed in. Easily one of my favorite Criterions!

I think everyone will be very pleased. The DVD version is one of the best packages Criterion has ever done.
I'll be waiting till November, unfortunately. Also irks me that it was available on Netflix up until it was about to ship. Now, it's in the waiting-to-be-available pile.

Oh well, just gotta be a few months patient.

If Criterion was really clever they'd announce there is a hint (like a sketch) to an upcoming release somewhere on http://www.criterion.com

That would get people looking

I share your disdain for Facebook, but it's smart marketing. You don't need a Facebook account to see these clues, and more often than not they get re-posted here or on another site instead anyway. Besides, if they didn't use those sites, people would be up in arms about that.
I had to create a FB account with a alias name so I could see what Criterion and others are posting. Not interested in keeping a FB page with friends, Pics, posting my every move etc. Tried it for a while and it just got old. I agree Criterion should at least throw Blu ray.com a bone or at least also post hints on the Criterion or MUBI page.

Three Colors better be a set and not individually sold.

You should ask Amazon that question, no?

On a side note: I cannot wait for Facebooks to go under. I wish Criterion wouldn't put so many hints on that site. How about throwing blu-ray.com a bone once in a while (or perhaps another Amazon poll)?
My copy shipped from Amazon today, but being a cheapskate I chose the free shipping option. So, my guess is I will get it late next week judging by how slow the whole smartpost thing takes.

Yeah, I am the same way, and get the supersaver even though it irks me with how long it usually takes...

I was impressed with this film, the two leads give outstanding performances.
I've been having a pretty good time with my July B&N purchases and this was no exception. Given both the subject matter and setting I had half-braced myself for a bit of moralizing or at least some occasional melodrama but neither ever materialized.

Very solid from start to finish.

I can't remember my college email address password. Also, I used the trial prime in few years ago, so I don't know if I could use it again without paying.
