I too was under the impression that the November slate was usually much bigger than other months to make up for the smaller slate in December. This time it's the same as October

I was just asking if the announcements were in fact done... Was thrown by "Rushmore" not being in the batch.

F&A is down for 3 discs. Does that mean they are dropping the 2 disc Making of included in the 5 disc DVD version? The tv version and theatrical version make up 500 minutes, so will need all 3 of those discs I assume

Until Criterion's site says otherwise, then expect all of the same features to carry over.

I'll likely pass on Rushmore but pretty much everything else is an auto-buy (and if I wasn't balking slightly at the price of the F&A set I could drop the 'pretty much').

I'm in for the Kieslowski set and F&A. By the way, the description in the Criterion site says that it's one disc for the theatrical, one for the TV version and one for the documentary. Not sure how I feel about that. I'd get the rest, but those two are quite expensive by themselves, but they also have enough content and quality to justify skipping other new releases. November's going to be pretty cool.

Edit: whoops, gonna correct myself. The Criterion site doesn't really explain how th F&A contents will be spread. I saw three individual pieces of artwork and assumed that would be the case (which is still a big possibility), but I was too quick to assume how it would work. Anyway. Insta-buy for me.

So, we're getting an SD transfer of the TV version on a single BD then? How else to fit 5 hours + on 1 BD? I didn't mind it so much when they threw out the TV version of Last Emperor for the blu release, since it wasn't the "directors cut", just a new version with unused footage put back in. But with F&A, it was originally a TV series that was then cut down for international cinemas. The theatrical version should be treated as the chaff, not the wheat.
