If it's not Almodovar's "Matador", maybe it's the "The Matador" with Pierce Brosnan. Also, when I searched "Matador" on IMDB, it brought up John Woo's "The Killer." I wouldn't think the Weinstein's would give up that title, but that would be a great re-release. |

Some people have suggested Talk to Her, which features a pretty similar outfit. The problem is that many bullfighting outfits look pretty similar, so it makes it hard to narrow it down.

Ed Wood is really the only Criterion-esque film of his, I'd say. I do think Big Fish is well above his average fare. |

![]() I'm still standing by my impossible dream that Criterion is releasing The Bobo on Blu-Ray. Peter Sellers is a blue singing matador, trying to woo Britt Eklund. It's a one of his more obscure films. ![]() |

Oh, they're certainly better than those, but that's not saying much, right? Anyway, I do not like those films at all, but most of his earlier films do entertain me. He's certainly not the best filmmaker in the universe, but I do like some of his films. I used to be a bigger fan, though. They haven't aged that well for me. |

That's a good description of how I feel. I used to really like some of his older movies, but when I've watched them more recently, they just leave me feeling kind of ![]() |

Didn't care for Sweeny Todd very much. Didn't like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Big Fish was "alright" Never saw Planet of the Apes, corpse Bride, or Sleepy Hollow, I love: Ed Wood, Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, Edward Scissorhands, Batman, and Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Not that anyone cares ![]() |
