Wizard of Oz An American in Paris Senso The Red Shoes The Mikado Black Narcissus The Adventures of Robin Hood Quo Vadis The African Queen I may be forgetting something but I'm pretty sure that's all the region A releases shot using the real 3-strip process. There are lot of 50s movies with the "Color by Technicolor" credit that were only printed using Technicolor's dye transfer process, but shot on the inevitably faded Eastmancolor film of the time, including the 1954 A Star is Born, White Christmas, and 1956 Ten Commandments. Since the theatrical prints are not used for video transfers, the blu-rays really have nothing to do with Technicolor and the vibrant colors would have to to be restored digitally. |

(Newbie here.)
Now that Criterion has released a BD of Double vie de Veronique, I'd love to see the entire Trois Couleurs trilogy in BD also. Have sent them several messages/requests on their own website, but they never respond. If others on this forum feel the same way, it would be great to send even more requests to Criterion. I think it is a must-have, especially given the care they lavish on their products. My favorite films of all time. |

You're in for some discoveries, guy. I'd suggest for you to check out The Last Picture Show next. It's a personal favorite of mine. This boxset looks incredible and there's not one movie in there that I wouldn't recommend, and the ones that I haven't seen I really want to watch ASAP. November can't come soon enough. :P

What's up with The Battle of Algiers reviews? No review on blu-ray.com, High Def Deigest, or Criterion Forum.
Also, what do people in this thread think of The Big Lebowski? I love that film. I think that Criterion could do an awesome job with Barton Fink. |

Got a shipping notice from B&N last night for Battle of Algiers. Should be here in a couple of days. They originally said it wasn't going to ship until September.
